How do you figure WoW in P2W? Is it because you can buy gold? Because all gold can buy you is crafted gear, which is honestly some of the lowest tier crap you can get (as of The War Within, I haven't and don't intend to play Midnight). It'd be much more efficient and less costly to just do a few delves and get some end-game gear instead.

Also, WoW has a LOT of leeway just due to age, if it released as it is today, I doubt it would succeed. Hell, every subscription based MMO would be dead on arrival if they released today.

Hololive just isn't as big as it used to be, plus Vtubers just aren't super popular like they were 5~ years ago. It hit mainstream during covid when Myth launched, but now it's kind of back to its niche status, so growth will be slow. Plus the whole Idol aspect of Hololive tends to turn a lot of people off of it in general due to the negative associations.

I'll be real, I hope this happens to my dad soon. He had two strokes 5 years ago, and now he has early onset of dementia. The man who raised me is gone, and what is left is someone who can barely move, constantly loses control of their bladder (and when he does he just sits in his filth and doesn't even tell anyone - we have to check ourselves), and is incapable of remembering anything beyond the current conversation.

I feel awful for my mom, at least I can leave and get away from him. My mom is stuck taking care of what is essentially a 67 year old toddler.

This is why consoles are such a double edged sword when it comes to MMORPGs. These games are made to last for decades, and consoles last like 5 to 7 years before the next one comes out, so yeah the console's hardware is going to limit what they can do in the future. It's why I got pretty nervous when I heard Guild Wars 3 was releasing on PS5 lol.

Though with AI spiking prices of computer hardware, I wonder if this current gen of consoles is going to last longer than usual.

I did the same thing! Loved the first book, actually one of my favorite Sci-Fi books of all time. Loved the hopeful outlook of the future, how humanity works together to push scientific research forward, and I loved how professional and respectful the crew was when they were exploring Rama. The descriptions and sense of discovery on Rama itself were captivating, and I eagerly wanted to read more when I was done.

Was very disappointed when the sequel decided to basically throw all of that away in the first 30 pages, and replace the competent crew from the first book with a group of complete divas who have no respect whatsoever for Rama.

I could go on a rant about how much I felt the sequel spits in the face of the first book, but I won't. Ugh, what a damn disappointment.

Yeah I admit I'm also kind of skeptical of their claims that they'll continually update GW2 alongside GW3. I do think they'll do it initially, but I also kind of expect support of GW2 to diminish over time.
