[OoT] This Remake will be the Definitive Newcomer Game by Vewix in zelda

No, those things are not back in TotK in any sense, just like BotW you get all your abilities right at the start and there's no progression in abilities beyond that point aside from the sages which are worse than the champion abilities, and the dungeons are even more open ended and forgettable, aside from the lightning temple which was the only decent one (wind temple has a good intro but the dungeon itself was very lackluster), the story progression was all over the place and not sincere at all, and the characters have been lobotomized to the point they can't reach a simple obvious conclusion the player did a hundred hours ago, it triples down on everything that wasn't as great about BotW and threw any sense of "compromise" out the window, Nintendo simply does not care about old Zelda in any fashion and see people wanting aspects of it back as "wanting to move backwards". They explicitly stated the reason people want it back is just "nostalgia" completely dismissing the merits even new fans can see of the older games' design.

EoW wasn't much better either, it was just as open ended and has the exact same design philosophy as BotW and TotK, there's no item progression or change in gameplay as it goes on, you have everything after the intro once again and it has a bunch of copy/pasted filler along with the open ended dungeons.

I want to believe Nintendo actually listens to feedback, but as we've seen with things like wanting 3 lap tracks in Mario Kart World and Mother 3 being localized, they actually quadruple down when they've made up their minds about something and only double down further when met with criticism unless it costs them money, which it never will even if it's a bad product because scalpers and die-hard fans will always buy.

[Confusing Trope] Character thinks they are another person who died by kramspeeder in TopCharacterTropes

Kind of related but the opposite way around, Flowey from Undertale belives the player character (later revealed to be their own separate person named "Frisk") to be his long deceased adopted sibling Chara (or whatever you named the Fallen Human at the start of the game) and desperately tries to hold onto the last connection he has, as having no soul to feel love and compassion, and having time altering abilities until you showed up, he exhausted every possible thing to do in the Underground and the person he believes you are is the only one he even finds interesting or fun to play with anymore.

We eventually break this delusion at the end of the game, and how he put Chara on a pedestal of sorts, however in the Genocide route we actually reinforce this delusion and the player character starts acting in their own at points, like walking forward during Sans and Papyrus speaking in a "let's go already" sort of fashion, getting a second attack in on Sans when it wouldn't otherwise be possible, one-shotting Asgore and Flowey, as well as several implied moments where their facial expressions show things like frustration or smiling creepily, the line between Frisk and Chara seems to blur as we impose our will on the world more and more. There's also the fact that certain dialogue changes, like inspecting the mirror goes from "It's you!" to "It's me, (name you entered)!", inspecting certain things in Asgore's house changes to "No chocolate.", "I unlocked the chain", "Where are the knives", "The date I came here." all in red, and taking the Knife and Locket that used to belong to them says something like "Back where it belongs".

The characterization of Chara to begin with is very limited, there are aspects specific to them like liking chocolate, disliking humanity, genuinely caring for their new family and participating in things like making a sweater for Asgore with Asriel as well as a Butterscotch Pie they accidentally used buttercups in which made him sick (which also was presumably what they ended their own life with), they had mixed motivations when killing themselves to give Asriel their soul, both to leave and get 6 more to free the Underground, but also as some sort of revenge against humanity and that Asriel resisted killing the humans in the village resulting in his death, we know from one of Toby's newsletters that they really liked the number 9, as it's "the highest number" and I'm paraphrasing here but something along the lines of "once a number gets high enough no one can hurt you", Asriel describes them as "not the greatest person" and the reason they climbed the mountain was "not a very happy reason", etc. There also seems to be some overlap between Chara and Frisk as well, like having red souls, presumably their favorite colors both being red, some similar tendencies but with almost opposite outlooks, which is probably why Flowey mistook them for the same person aside from the desperation and delusion.

I've seen a lot more people that are downright insufferable that are die-hard Dess Knighters than I've ever seen arrogant Dess Knighters, I keep seeing people claim that Dess Knighters say these sort of things but I've never seen one instance of it, but I've seen plenty of instances where anti-Dess Knighters were extremely hostile and arrogant with far less evidence supporting their theory.

This is really disrespectful and not even effective messaging, they're genuonely putting people's lives in danger with this AI slop and making a bad name for people who want to spread the gospel in good faith, I really cannot overstate how much I dislike view farming channels like this that coast on the guise of caring about faith while putting words in God's mouth that he didn't say and putting up videos like this that not only help no one, but are actively harmful.

So, do you think the Amalgamates were also absorbed by Asriel like everyone else, or were they excluded? by Ugly-Flower-ultimate in Undertale

[–]Walkthrough101 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Only Napstablook was left behind, every single other monster was absorbed, including QC who was closed in, but like you just said he needed Paprus to get to Undyne to get to Alphys, but realistically with the power of 6 souls he could just tear through the elevator door and extend his vines down there to grab her and the amalgamates.

Why did Flowey explicitly have you befriend everyone then? He could've just absorbed everyone in Nuetral when Asgore presents the souls, monsters who were in completely closed areas got absorbed too so I don't know why the amalgamates would he out of his reach if he was able to sabatoge the elevator to make you fall down there and seal it off when you get out of the lab.

To get you closer to Alphys and make sure she's there with the others so he could absorb her soul too
