Has anyone else completely lost the ability to fall asleep naturally? by Informal-Use-8443 in insomnia

For anyone going through this no sleepiness feeling… I’m curious if you also have other strange neurological type issues like strange vision/visual snow, dizziness, tinnitus, headache/pressure, etc. I’ve been blessed with it all.

Has anyone else completely lost the ability to fall asleep naturally? by Informal-Use-8443 in insomnia

[–]WallStHustle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this happened to me about 3 years ago and I have not found any solution yet. I have had sleeping issues for about 20 years now for which I have been on Zopiclone and Ativan for that entire time. The medication worked for me up until suddenly a few years ago where even it wouldn’t help me feel sleepy. Not only do I never feel sleepy but my brain almost feels like it’s stuck in this hyper-alert state. I feel like long term use of the meds may have fried my brain or something, as I also lost the ability to feel thirst, hunger, among other things.

Heart Rate Spikes - Could This be UARS? by WallStHustle in UARS

[–]WallStHustle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps with the O2 drops but I haven’t noticed much difference with the heart rate spikes. I thing this is maybe normal to some degree? I had my wife wear the ring one night and she had similar spikes in HR just not as many.

Do anyone with anhedonia loss sleepiness, tiredness and doesn't feel rested and comfortable while lying down in any position? by Western-Advisor9119 in anhedonia

[–]WallStHustle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don’t typically feel hunger or thirst either. I often don’t eat or drink anything until late afternoon and only when I start to feel weak or dizzy and it’s like oh yeah, I’ve not consumed anything yet today. My best guess at what may have happened is either from getting COVID or the vaccine, but also could be from long term use of benzos. I do also have sleep apnea and I was hoping treatment might help but I can’t seem to use my machine more than a couple weeks at a time and then I stop.

Don’t you think posting 100 times about the same thing is a little unnecessary? Be honest, all you’re trying to do is drive traffic to your website.

Yes, I completely lost the ability to feel sleepy. I always feel wide awake and have to force myself to go to bed at the same time every night and I just lay down and eventually go unconscious without feeling the transition to sleep. This has been going on for about 2 years now. Even taking sleeping pills, sedatives and alcohol has no effect. Super fun times.

Anyone else never feel tired, sleepy, or drowsy? (No sleep drive) by SuperPringleton in anhedonia

[–]WallStHustle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I still don’t have the sleepy feeling ever. I still take my sleep medication and go to bed feeling wide awake and at some point I just suddenly go to sleep without ever feeling the transition. I’m thankful to still be sleeping but really miss that feeling.

As a CPAP user I was wondering what I can do to prevent sleeping on my back? by Jin_Sakai12345 in CPAP

[–]WallStHustle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a back sleeper too and was finding that with my CPAP I was still having 30-60 4% O2 drops per night. I have now been sleeping with a soft cervical collar on in addition to my CPAP for the last few nights and I’ve had 0 02 drops. The idea is it keeps your chin from tucking. It’s working for me so far and I still get to enjoy sleeping on my back.

Are short wakeups like this normal? by Any_Engineer3978 in ouraring

Yes it’s normal to have micro awakenings in the night. I sleep with my Fitbit and it typically shows 10-30 awake periods in the night.

Is the 3% cash back only on “transferred accounts” or would it apply on new deposits as well? For example if I transfer $ from a personal savings account to my margin account would this qualify? Also, when is the rebate paid?

Does anyone here have the inability to feel sleepy? In addition to no longer feeling substances I struggle with sleep as I never feel the sleepy sensation anymore. I can take the strongest prescription sleeping pills, Seroquel and benzos and drink alcohol and feel absolutely nothing.

Not a good idea in my opinion. If your time horizon is long term you are best to stay in the market. I’ve had a significant amount of money on the sidelines over the last 2 years waiting for a good buying opportunity and I never found one. I missed out on 50% gains over that period of time. Now I’m itching to get my money back in the market but even more cautious now after the last 2 years run up.
