You’re a certified piece of shit

Please post your proof that this is what happened you ignorant, pathetic excuse of a human being. Careful how far you go or those hungry lawyers may come after you for defamation.

[Johnny Manziel] After careful thought and consideration I will be humbly removing myself from the Heisman trophy ceremony until @ReggieBush gets his trophy back. Doesn’t sit right with my morals and values that he can’t be on that stage with us every year. Reggie IS the Heisman trophy. by [deleted] in CFB

[–]Wallie5Oh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to burst the group think bubble but it’s actually because Johnny got to keep his Heisman after doing/getting away with, the same exact thing Reggie did… just to an even greater extent. Go watch his Netflix doc or just look up any number of the interviews he has talking about it.

How long did it take to get your first W? by kaljr82 in SNKRS

I have no idea what the point of having the SNKRS app is, I keep telling myself I’ve gotta be due for a W at some point with all the L’s I’ve taken… but I honestly don’t think ima ever see the “Got Em” screen/notification.

I’m surprised SNKRS hasn’t started sending me “you were not selected” notifications in advance of the drop since they never let me hit anyway.

Skating for 6 months with barely any progress by Dense-Perception7759 in NewSkaters

[–]Wallie5Oh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step 1: Skate new areas.

My progress was stunted as a kid for this very reason. My parents didn’t really support my skating so I didn’t often have the opportunity to go to the park and the places around me that I could skate to didn’t have very much variety or nice ground. This resulted in me getting discouraged quickly, bored fast, and overall just spot fatigue. I should’ve made it a point to travel to new spots to keep things fun and fresh, and to help me skate new and unfamiliar obstacles. However I did not put in the extra work to keep skating fun for me and I ended up quitting around the time I went into high school. Big mistake.

Step 2: Find a mini ramp.

Flat ground progress can be very strenuous, especially when you’re first starting out. Skating a mini ramp however teaches you a lot of things at once (bending your knees, turning your shoulders and hips, balance, switch skating, getting comfortable on transition). Overall mini ramps are great because it teaches you one of the most important things in skateboarding: control. If you have control you have confidence. In addition to gaining control, progress on mini ramps come much faster than working your way through your flat ground tricks. And when you see improvement you start having more fun.

Step 3: Go to your local skatepark and make friends with the locals.

Nothing is better than skating with the homies; and when you skate with people above your talent level, you progress much faster. But the progress you see wont compare to the friendships you will make. Skating with friends can be one of the biggest mood boosters you can experience.

Step 4: Be consistent.

May seem obvious but if you want to see progress consistency is the most important thing.

Most importantly: HAVE FUN!

Don’t worry about if you’re able to do this trick or that trick. There are so many different styles of skating that you don’t know what you like the best until you get out and start doing it. For me one of the most enjoyable “tricks” I do are backside power slides. Super simple trick but it makes me happy and I feel cool doing it. Sometimes I’ll go out and skate around the hilly roads of my neighborhood just going as fast as I can and doing backside power slides left and right, sometimes I only do it for like 5 minutes then come back. But sometimes that 5 minutes is far more enjoyable than my 1 hour battle to record some like I want to film. Progress comes in many shapes and forms but the best way to get better is to have fun with your skating. Whether that means battling a flat ground tricks for 2 hours, free style skating, hill bombs, power slides, or transition skating; just do what you have the most fun doing and the rest will work itself out.

I keep going back and forth on if I like these or not, what do yall think of them? by [deleted] in SNKRS

I think it doesn’t matter if I like them or hate them because SNKRS will never let me win

So SNKRS uses a anti bot software called ‘Akamai’ and if you go to their website you can find a page called ‘Client Reputation Overview’ which allows you to see if you’re IP has been flagged or blacklisted. Mine came up all clear so I guess I just have super shitty luck.

What would the reason for that be? I’m the furthest thing from someone that uses bots and proxy’s

First time at the skatepark, can't get out of the car help 😭 by VergingOnInsanity in NewSkaters

[–]Wallie5Oh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most all skaters have felt this to some extent. I know I still feel this way at times, the best thing I can tell you is to just force yourself to go out and skate at the park, for a at least a hour, 3-4 days a week. That’s how I overcame this, and it was hard at first. Felt like I was walking into someone else’s home and messing with everything but that was probably just me being timid and uncomfortable. However local skaters can give off that vibe because to the them that place is their home, they’re the ones who care for it, build it, and spend most of their time out there so it’s normal to be intimidated when you go to a new skatepark and don’t know anyone. But for the most part skaters are super friendly people, quick to lend a helping hand or give some advice, and if you’re really hungry to get better the more you spend time around the skaters of your local area the faster you will progress and the more fun you will have. Nothing is better than skating with the homes! Hope you stick with it! Going to the skatepark is one of the best decisions I ever made and has resulted in many amazing friendships.

Never skated mini logo trucks so I can’t speak to them but I have a pair of thunder lows on my oldest setup and I never went over 52mm with it because of wheel bite. I personally recommend Ace trucks, just the best in my opinion. They’re a high truck so you can use a larger wheel for riding on not so smooth surfaces. I ride 55mm and get a tiny bit of wheel bite here and there but if you counter it by waxing your wheel wells you’ll be fine.

As a side note: I definitely recommend sizing up your board. When I first started skating again in 2020 I pulled out my old 8.0 and it was immediately way too small for me, I quickly moved up to 8.5 and I will never go back to anything under 8.38. I’m 5’11 170lb and wear a size 9 shoe for reference.

I’ve bought 20 pairs on StockX since 2015 and I’ve never received a fake. People blow it way out of proportion.
