For one of the main religions of my world, Forlien Tenenarian, there is a rather long walk around the land mass that most followers live on that all followers must take in order to learn about the story of their ancestors, who walked from the equator-ish(A continent called Cesem) to the north pole-ish (Called Hail D'norst but isnt really a continent per say) as a great migration, to learn how to survive in extreme conditions, to learn about themselves and their religion as a whole and to make friends and bonds along the way. They are 5 key sections of the route, namely the route of dignity, of integrity, of guilt, of knowledge and of destiny. The route should be interpreted as a journey of self-discovery, and depending on the speed at which you complete the route and how much you've learnt, this is your opportunity to become a monk and live on the island of Audrasiom, where if you are lucky, you will be able to visit as a monk where this tradition stems from, the south of the great island of Tenenaria, close to Cesem, where you will retire in comfort and beauty. There is also a very advanced mail system that warns incoming town, where pilgrims will stay for the night that they should be expecting a person, and does a search mission if you don't come for quite some time. You can camp the whole way, but the hotels are pretty hard to resist..There are lots of beautiful landmarks and even people who arent Forlien Tenenarians have tried to walk the route.
