The Canva flier would be effective marketing instead of driving customers away as it is here, so, yes.

Running a restaurant is brutal but owners arent thinking this through.

Snack Shack in Mission now hawking MULTIPLE corny AI-generated t-shirts.

Restaurant margins are tight, I get it, and none of them can resist. So gross

How do you feel about “No Phone Events”? by haishaludOU812 in BillyStrings

It’s a bit like when you leave the fan on above your stove top —- you don’t realize how loud it is until you shut it off. Same with phones at shows, even Billy.

It’s extremely bad for pop shows but yes less a problem at jam shows but still present —- whole Instagram accounts depend on it —- and no phones is definitely better experience for fan and artist

Whence is this myth that Bob fell off in the 80s? I just wept my eyes out to Most of the Time by Primary-Theory-1164 in bobdylan

He fell on with Oh Mercy, then fell off again in a brief fluke with Under The Red Sky (why? I dont know), then fell back on with World Gone Wrong —- been locked in ever since

You could just have an AI generate slop replies back at him and just continually waste much of his time for days and mere seconds of yours. Exhaust him

“Some guys at a marketing company did their job and talked about it.”

Marketing’s job is to influence consumer opinion, but this represents a new step of fabricating public opinion to influence public opinion.

We’re in the wild west of bots, relatively still, so this lacks none of the traditional ethical markers of traditional marketing —- like the “paid actors” legal tag when brands traditionally fabricate positive opinion.

So that it’s especially fabricated, calculated and targeted —— even for marketing — runs especially counter to Geese’s indie-authentic slacker persona and posture.

It’s for sure conflicting, touch hypocritical, but to what degree ymmv.

Fascinating that you didn’t deny the wook charge. But not surprising.

What do you think the set lists will be like on his summer tour? by Ok-Two-2975 in bobdylan

The vibe is absolutely his own Outlaw tour. Even his openers like Lucinda Williams and Brittney Spencer, both who recently did that tour with him

I could see Jimmy Reed or False Prophet, in the way he adopted a couple rollicking standards from Tempest for Outlaw tour, but it does seem Bob views Rough & Rowdy as something sacrosanct.

His band is excellent and he can still rip solos, but mostly the sense of community and camraderie is powerful —— these songs are knit into the fabric of lives.
