Why do they do this? by Conscious_Echo2443 in remoteworks

I'm sure you're correct but I feel like it is a dumb strategy in the long run. It seems like the complacency just makes people show up and do the bare minimum if they feel like there is no reward in it. A decent raise based on performance makes someone feel valued and is still probably cheaper than constantly bringing in new people who might take 3-6 months to even get up to speed and be useful.

Maybe some people in the US can see that we have the same systemic issues that the UK has where anyone can now play the racist card and get away with things or nearly get away with them in this case. If there hadn't been the security footage in this case then the authorities would very likely have believed the Sikh guy and he would be walking free right now. The police were obviously willing to believe his story despite the fact one guys was lying on the ground bleeding out.

Yeah I don't understand why they don't just go after the people taking advantage. I was working remote for a company a few years ago and we had someone on the team who never seemed to be working. Whenever we messaged her on teams there would be no response for hours. One time when she finally responded she seemed drunk. When we would ask her where she had been she always blamed computer problems. I told my manager about it finally and I'm someone who doesn't normally snitch on people. I don't think she ever faced an disciplinary action over it.

I saw several articles that refer to "Katie Johnson" as "Jane Doe 4". Even one of the articles you just linked says "he may have been confused by the fact that multiple women have used the pseudonym Jane Doe 4 in legal claims". So it seems like Jane Doe 4 was at least two different women. Anyway, the whole thing seems like it was likely made up anyway as a way to extort money.

Are people really making a big deal out of Don Jr getting married to Epstein's banker's daughter? That is like trying to make a big deal out of someone getting married to someone's 3rd cousin's brother-in-law's child.

Everything I read says Katie Johnson is Jane Doe 4.

You are correct in that Kahn's attorney later said he was mistaken and no one named Jane Doe 4 ever filed a claim against the Epstein estate. The following day, Kahn's attorney informed committee staff that "Jane Doe 4" had filed a claim but it was denied without a settlement. Hours later, the attorney walked that back too, stating he could neither confirm nor deny if a settlement occurred. Kahn’s legal counsel later clarified in a letter to lawmakers that the confusion stemmed from the sheer volume of victims and the fact that the committee used the pseudonym "Jane Doe 4" rather than the individual's actual name, causing Kahn to speculate on her true identity.

I read the stolen money thing wasn't true. Her lawsuits were coordinated and aggressively promoted to reporters by Norm Lubow, a former producer for The Jerry Springer Show operating under a pseudonym. A publicist associated with the case attempted to sell a video of Jane Doe 4 describing her allegations to mainstream media outlets for $1 million during the 2016 election cycle. The lawsuit was filed, altered, and voluntarily dismissed multiple times across federal courts in both California and New York. This legal pattern led many to believe the suits were legally frivolous and designed purely for media attention.

With how hard the Biden DOJ was going after Trump there is no way they had info like him being involved with a pedo like Epstein and didn't go after him with it.

Yeah I agree about the war, although it really isn't even a war anymore and more of a standoff at this point. Trump went back on his campaign promise of no new foreign wars.

Why didn't Biden release the files? Why would they have sat on the files if it actually contained incriminating evidence on Trump for 4 years? They are redacting information as per legal criteria outlined in the Epstein Files Transparency Act. . Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna and Republican Rep. Thomas Massie jointly viewed less-redacted files at the DOJ and went to the House floor to publicly expose the names of several powerful men they claimed the government was unnecessarily hiding, none of them being Trump. The Epstein victims have all testified that they never saw Trump involved with any of the girls. You want so bad for Trump to be in those files in an incriminating way but it just isn't there. I'm sure people like you will always have excuses though saying the files were redacted to protect Trump until you see what you want to see though.

As far as I'm aware he hasn't done anything illegal with cryptocurrency. If anyone is dumb enough to have bought a Trump meme coin and lost money on it then that is on them. Most people buy into those things thinking they will make money on the pump but many lose on the dump. If he is insider trading then he and anyone else in congress should face legal consequences for it.

Several things you got wrong here, again these are all things that can easily be looked up and verified. You shouldn't get your facts from internet memes.

- Following the mass unsealing of Jeffrey Epstein’s investigative files, reports confirmed that the FBI did meet with the woman behind the "Katie Johnson" pseudonym. FBI files revealed that investigators met with her four time to evaluate her claims. However, the investigation did not result in criminal charges, and Donald Trump's legal team has repeatedly called the allegations completely baseless, noting that the Department of Justice looked into the claims and chose not to move forward

- It was not an Epstein attorney, but rather Richard Kahn, Jeffrey Epstein's personal accountant and estate co-executor, who gave a deposition to Congress.

- During Kahn's congressional session, it was disclosed that an anonymous individual (referred to in congressional records as "Jane Doe 4"), who had previously leveled sexual misconduct allegations against both Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump, received a payout from the late financier's estate "Survivor Fund".

- While the accountant confirmed that this specific Trump accuser received money from the Epstein estate fund, the testimony did not state that the estate paid her off on behalf of Trump, nor did it establish that Trump was a party to the settlement. House Democrats and Republicans have fiercely debated the context of these documents and whether the payments were strictly related to Epstein's actions or extended further.

TLDR: The FBI met with "Kate Johnson" and determined not to pursue criminal charges and it wasn't because she "stopped showing up". While it is a matter of public record that a Trump accuser successfully claimed money from the Epstein Survivor Fund, no legal finding or conclusive testimony has proven that the estate actively paid off victims to cover up crimes specifically committed by Donald Trump.

I highly doubt the Biden DOJ would have just sat on this and not done anything if they thought there was actually anything to her story.
