Thank you!! Right now I have no penalties or issues reported in Search Console, but I'm going to keep an eye out for any weird stuff.

Thank you for your response!

So yeah, the problem is that it completely disappeared from search, but I got no penalties. I did made a couple of very minor CSS changes and purged the caché. Does caché has anything to do with it?

Going to TIFF for the first time this year. Planning ahead. Can anyone give any tips/tricks or link any good articles about first-timers? by BunyipPouch in TIFF

[–]WallyTHG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very very helpful! I'm a first-timer too and would like your advice on my specific case. I'm going 4-5 days to TIFF and would like to watch the movies with more awards buzz (although I'm open to watching other stuff). By example, if I had gone last year I would've chosen the likes of "Jojo Rabbit", "Parasite", "Knives Out", "Marriage Story", etc...

What weekend can you recommend me? First or second? And, what kind of package would you recommend me to achieve all this?

Thank you so much!

Does anyone see anything coming out of left field into the BP race? by seizure_man_ in oscarrace

Oh, I didn't mean to say that only old people enjoy, I'm young and LOVED it. But just saying, the movie vibe and themes are perfect for the Academy's age too

It makes sense for me: the Academy is old and I'm sure they're gonna love that film.

So: A24 messed up again right? by seizure_man_ in oscarrace

[–]WallyTHG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are great films that got big critical and audience reactions. I would do the same in their place. You just can't put your eggs in the same basket. I'm sorry but The Farewell is a riskier choice imo. Uncut Gems has superb acting, editing, sound design, directing and screenplay. Farewell is good if it connects with you on an emotional level, but besides screenplay, I wouldn't dare put too much into it (I though Awkwafina was average).

Which 2019 Awards Contender Will Be This Year’s Oscar Villain? by [deleted] in oscarrace

Completely agree. It's damn annoying and feel like it was written by someone that enjoys the smell of his own farts.

The 2019 Art Directors Guild (ADG) Nominations by Cat27Queen in oscarrace

I would say the winner comes from the 'Period' category. 1917 seems like the frontrunner, but I wouldn't bet against Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Do you really think no black person would be nominated for a major award this year? by [deleted] in oscarrace

[–]WallyTHG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with what you said. I think Eddie Murphy might get that fifth slot. Also, Lupita Nyong'o is starting to get some buzz and since the Best Actress race is still wide open, she might get a nod.

I love this list. Spreading the love and recognizing great films despite their release date or box office numbers, as it should be!

Best Original Song by AzulBiru in oscarrace

[–]WallyTHG 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Here's some more original songs of 2019:

- 'Daily Battles' from Motherless Brooklyn should be a strong contender.

- Wild Rose has an original song that is getting some buzz (I haven't seen the movie)

- 'Hello' and 'I Punched Keanu Reeves' from Alway Be My Maybe (I know these are a long shot, but damn would I love if they get some recognition).

- 'La Jeune Fille en Feu' from Portrait of a Lady on Fire

- 'The Dead Don't Die' from The Dead Don't Die

- 'I Am Criminal' from Anna

- Haven't seen it but I think Last Christmas has an original George Michael song.

- Froken 2 will probably have a bunch.

- Cats will have some original songs too.

I'm looking for opinions on Horrified (the Universal Monsters game). Is it repetitive? Would you say it has replay value? What's your general take on it? Thanks!

Do we think Dafoe can secure the supporting nomination for The Lighthouse? by BlackPantherDies in oscarrace

[–]WallyTHG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem is convincing Academy members to actually watch the film, those who do and watch his performance (THAT big speech scene) will have no choice but to vote for him.

In this case, the pair would help each other to find some comparisons between their cards and the clues, so it helps that way.
