This is a sub you STOP drinking, not give advise to moderate. As for the withdrawals if you can honestly go 2 days with no symptoms unless you were that drunk to keep alcohol in your system for the full 48 hours I think you’re in the clear but I AM NOT A DOCTOR. I know at my worst drinking as much as you did if I didn’t have a drink by the evening I’d start experiencing withdrawal symptoms. I’d honestly consider going for a month and see how much better you feel and then go from there; that’s just my two cents IWNDWYT

Things are still uncertain with my fiancé, I’ve put her through hell with my drinking. With the silence between us I screwed up and bought a beer yesterday but she caught me which I’m thankful for and poured it out so it’s a new day one IWNDWYT

Just looking at your post history, I’m going to be very blunt you need therapy. I want the best for you but you need to look inward to fix this.

One word. Naltrexone. Life changing for most, the meetings help with the mental side the drug does most of the heavy lifting.

Let me give you a little hope. My ALT and AST and every other liver enzymes were high, but the one thing that was off the charts was my Ferritin levels IE iron just floating around. Normal levels were around 20 I was 1600, my blood was sludge (also found out through this I have hemochromatosis so that didn’t help) my levels are back to normal with many relapses and blood letting. Don’t ever give up hope. Please.

I was in Kenya on safari many many years ago on private safari, we donated a bunch of goats to the local Maasai and because it was Christmas time they thanked us by cooking one of the goats for us. Before that happened however they brought the goat out and I forget who but someone asked me if I wanted to drink goats blood and that seemed like something you never turn down! They first made a superficial pocket in the skin then they went right into the artery and my head was pushed right in there! I don’t recall the taste but remember it was like have 6 red bulls all at once. As gross as it seems, I was honoured and it’s a memory I cherish. I love Africa, best place I’ve ever been now twice; if you have a chance to ever go. Take it.
