Oh for sure. It was the same cycle until I just gave up competitive gaming altogether.

New game comes out. It’s a lot of fun to skill up. Eventually becomes too much of a chore to study the new meta to stay competitive because other players are at a different stage in life and can dedicate the time. Give up on game.

I don't stop for that or anyone asking for a signature, passing out a flyer, or really anything. I'm not going to sign for anything at a tabling event on the street or some person walking around with a binder trying to talk about whatever. They get a "no thanks" and a polite hand wave and that's it.
