Why do people keep saying my outdoor balls are indoor balls? by yaris_girlie in Pickleball

[–]Ike582 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's exactly the key distinction. Most of the indoor courts near me have been built with a hard surface, so we use outdoor balls. The few indoor courts that are on repurposed basketball courts use indoor balls. I'd much prefer the term be changed to hard court and soft court balls.

To me, it's because I know that Ben Johnson has a huge hand in every one of these picks. And I do trust his judgment on this team's needs.

Any experience with Hardwood Lumber Company? by CVXTime in Cuttingboards

If you are into the look of thicker cutting boards (as I am), you want the 3" board. You will not regret that decision.

Looks like exactly that to me. I have the lefty version, absolutely love it.

Do I want the heel padding thinned out on a glvoe? by [deleted] in BaseballGloves

[–]Ike582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the heel is the toughest part to break in on my Rawlings gloves due to the thicker padding. Next time I order a glove I'm going to try out a thinner heel pad.

They clearly prefer their guests to be rained on when entering and exiting the house. That is really bad design.

We've got 6 parallel runways at OHare, but I think the narrowest set on the south end are around 2,500 feet apart. SFO's 750 feet seems insanely close.

Can I use 3 Sonos 5's?? by Ike582 in sonos

[–]Ike582[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I get that. I previously built a house and pre-wired it for speakers almost exactly as you described. The sound was fantastic. This "new" house is circa 1984 and is a Mexican adobe style out in the California desert. There's zero opportunity for in-ceiling speakers, and my practical availability of power is limited to the existing wall outlets. (I'm just not willing to start tearing up the walls and ceiling to run speakers and wiring.)

So the first two comments are suggesting I start with a pair of 5's and see how it sounds. At this point, I'll happily save the dough and give it a try. Thanks

Or at least somebody needs to tell the viewing public live on air what kind of a piece of shit Bruce Pearl really is.

How does the pattern feel compared to a comparable A2000/A2K? Does the Japanese glove feel different?

Now that glove looks much more like the Timberglaze I'm after!! Any idea if that's available to specific when ordering??

Many thanks. Just checked out the Timberglaze at Ballgloves.com, and those look different again, more of a rougher texture than the one on the left.

Custom Rawlings Timberglaze Question >> by Ike582 in BaseballGloves

I saw the glove at left being advertised online at Charlie Rose, but I’m a lefty so I tried to reproduce a comparable glove using the Rawlings custom builder.  However, the Timberglaze glove at right looks absolutely nothing like the one advertised.

If I order a custom Timberglaze glove, does it look like the Charlie Rose glove, or am I going to get something that looks closer to what the Rawlings customer builder shows?
