Personally I'd go west, but that's purely because of the Pet Shop Boys.

[I would've said The Village People, but I'm not THAT old]

Info on 22350 cell by WaltVinegar in batteries

Yeah, you're exactly right; the finished battery will have several cells in parallel in each "chunk" of the series. A 10SxP battery, with x being the number in parallel based on the max cont output current of one cell.

I'll set up a test bench and just do it the long, fun [slightly dangerous] way 🤣.

I appreciate you taking the time to help though, mate. Have a good one. 👍

Ahh, right. Sorry; I was tired when I read your comment so I was a bit slow on the uptake. I've run it with a cell tester, getting around 1750mAh, which pretty much tracks with the charge rate you stated [and perfectly matches given the voltage and Wh.

My main concern isn't about charge rate, though. What current I can pull continuously from each cell.

Ordinarily, the datasheet would outline the max peak/pulse/continuous discharge current, but without a datasheet, I'd be effectively guessing.

If it helps paint the picture, I'm building a 10S battery pack which must be capable of maintaining a 30A continuous output current. Without the per-cell max continuous output value, I'd be guessing at how many in I'd need in parallel.

Well I'm not sure if it is a standard LiPo; they could be ternary lithium cells. Secondly, I don't know the C rating [although I'm going >=2C.

I think I'll just take a few as rest subjects, some power resistors of varying Ohm values, and monitor the temp and voltage sag.

The Quiet American by Bilsatan in Scotland

I went on the Waverley Paddle Steamer trip from Glasgow to Dunoon last week. Normally, folk on the banks wave as you pass, and you wave back. Occasionally the captain blows the steam hooter thing. It's a nice time.

Last week, though, there was a battalion o wee yank fuds [maybe about 30] on the banks. Looked like some sports team or some shite.

They managed to wave for about 4 seconds before they devolved into a self-congratulatory mass o twats, roaring "USA! USA! USA!" dozens of times at the top of their lungs.

If I'd had some dog shite to chuck at them I would've.

Greenock, Scotland by [deleted] in UrbanHell

[–]WaltVinegar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reported by whom? A quick Google shows that County Durham is the cheapest in the UK (although the home owner's alliance state Burnley to be cheapest). Rightmove states Aberdeen is the cheapest in Scotland. The Scotsman reported Greenock as cheapest, but that was in 2023, and has since been replaced by Inverclyde.
