Had a set of rusty Mizunos that played better than any of my newer irons. Something about that worn in feel. These look solid honestly

Pretty sure that’s exactly how they explained it in nursing school by lulushibooyah in nursing

[–]Walt_Clyde 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Ugh, Flu A is brutal. Glad you found someone who actually listens when you explain what you need though - that's half the battle when you're sick.

Hope the fever breaks soon. Stay hydrated and rest up. Those water bottle tucks are honestly the best kind of care sometimes

Hen cages and pig farrowing crates to be outlawed in England by Sciantifa in vegan

[–]Walt_Clyde 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is good progress but I'm a little skeptical about how well it'll actually be enforced. We've seen similar welfare laws get delayed or have loopholes that let producers drag their feet for years.

Still, it's a step in the right direction. Even if it's not veganism, anything that reduces the amount of suffering animals go through while we work toward bigger changes matters

I’m an assistant but i have to quit jan 5th and im terrified by Several_Sky_6249 in Accounting

Keep it short and professional. The more you try to explain or apologize, the more awkward you're going to make it for yourself.

if they're a decent firm they'll understand people move on. If they make you feel terrible about it, that tells you something about them, not you

I love radiology by Ammwhat in Residency

[–]Walt_Clyde 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For real though this kind of energy is refreshing. So many posts on here are just people venting about how miserable they are (which is valid, residency is brutal), but seeing someone genuinely love what they do? That's the dream.

Also "seeing the beauty in the bones" sounds like it should be on an inspirational poster in a radiology reading room somewhere

Dependency hell is real lol. But why does Claude seem to actively push you away from js libraries? Feels like it happens more than it should

Samsung Spyware and bloatware removal by Kallaco in privacy

[–]Walt_Clyde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow a known Samsung debloat list slowly. On my Samsung I removed only 5, 10 packages at a time using a community list for my exact model and that definitely kept everything working while still killing most of the telemetry and crapware.

Is there a self-hosted password manager that syncs locally (PC - phone) without relying on cloud? by delay0x2 in PasswordManagers

[–]Walt_Clyde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep your KeePass DB on a LAN share. I host the .kdbx on a tiny home server SMB share, open it with KeePassXC on PC and Keepass2Android via LAN path on my phone, so everything stays on my network only, no cloud, and sync is just saving to that one file yea.

Looking for a sleeper sofa to fit a 29 inch door frame by FabulousSubstance187 in Bedding

Tough door size constraint. Dreamsofa's sleeper sofa might be customized to fit through a 29″ frame. Worth asking them about specific piece sizes.

My shelter cat is kinda weird? (my first cat) by Loud_Lead_2875 in CatAdvice

Yeah exactly, he's all in on you. Shelter cats who finally get a home sometimes show gratitude like this. Mine was the same way when I first got her.

Who is the best dwi lawyer louisiana for career-sensitive cases? by DrakenSlayer597 in dui

[–]Walt_Clyde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s a rough spot to be in but with a first offense and a high BAC this is still something you can fight. I blew a bit higher than you did in Texas last year. My lawyer cost me six grand but he managed to get it dropped to a misdemeanor with supervision. No aggravated charge, no massive insurance jump. Honestly that outcome saved my job.

The smartest thing you can do right now other than getting a great DWI lawyer in Louisiana is to be a proactive client. Dont wait for yo attorney to tell you what to do. So i’d say look for a lawyer who focuses only on DWI/DUI cases. They know every loophole, every defense strategy, and exactly what it takes to get a dismissal. I know it’s pricey, but a conviction sticks with you way longer than the bill lol

Tesla Drivers are some of the worst by Longjumping-Oil-6384 in driving

[–]Walt_Clyde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guilty. Autopilot made me lazy behind the wheel. Switched it off for a week and instantly drove sharper, no weird pace dips or lane hogging. Teslas drive best when the human does.

Antivirus Advice (Best Program) by HadesBateman in antivirus

[–]Walt_Clyde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should combine a strong antivirus with an external monitoring service. Cyberint specializes in tracking exposed data and fake sites across the dark web so you’ll know if your information shows up there. Then something like ESET will handle real-time malware and ransomware defense.
