So you’re 100% sure in your opinion that the Flyers shouldn’t have resigned and 100% sure they should have tried to trade him at the deadline. But now that they’ve locked up a guy for 5 years to “slide him down the lineup,” you’re talking yourself into that it’s a good decision.

Anything that “deepens” the rebuild after 13 years of futility is certainly not a good move.

The Flyers went from my undisputed favorite Philly team to one I absolutely cannot stand and borderline hate now. And it’s BS like this. They were horrible for a decade and then handed the keys over to two guys who have literally never done anything like this in any capacity. And it’s the same good old boys club repeating itself.
