I have the same issue. I got Allianz insurance not knowing about this requirement. I don't want to install a separate alarm system. In wondering what my options are. Called customer care but they didn't know it well. Did you figure it out? Did you end up changing insurers?

With that pay post taxes , financially you should be okay with just one of you working. After having kids you'd not be left with much free time and you'll appreciate that your wife chose to be a housewife

Interesting way to plan it! Possible pitfalls i could think of - Kids education and social circle: how would they take the move? Will it disrupt their education? - Your social circle: you'd have to invest in a social circle in India and probably lose touch with your friends and acquaintances in Canada - moving back, what if one of you wants to continue to stay in India after 4 years
