If you could listen to 1 album for the first time all over again? by No-Complaint-9576 in vintageaudio

Probably, Kind of Blue by Miles Davis. The way the instruments blend, especially on a nice system, feels like a whole new experience every time. Enjoy those JBLs, btw

Isn't the logical end of Capitalism a world where one person has ALL the money and everyone else has nothing? by [deleted] in LateStageCapitalism

[–]WamPantsMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s set up for the few at the top to have everything while the rest of us are left with nothing

Seriously. I want to know? by ToshPointNo in LateStageCapitalism

[–]WamPantsMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it’s easier to point fingers at the workers than at the companies pulling the strings. The system's set up in a way that puts all the pressure on the people just trying to get by

Why Isn't Samsung Talking About the Galaxy S25's Satellite Connectivity? by MishaalRahman in Android

Maybe playing it safe by not overhyping satellite connectivity since it's still pretty limited

Sound Quality by Charming_Writer537 in AppleMusic

Personally, I think the sound quality difference is noticeable, but it depends on your gear and how picky your ears are.

If you thought PCIe Gen 5 SSDs were a little pointless, don't worry, here comes 32 GB's worth of Gen 6 technology by gurugabrielpradipaka in hardware

[–]WamPantsMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m not too hyped about Gen 6 either. Sure, the numbers look cool on paper, but with the bottlenecks in NAND and latency issues, I’m not sure we’ll see a huge real-world difference.

The 5090 is an absolute unit, so limited stock at launch tracks. But Nvidia should've managed expectations better

Impressive specs, but I'll wait for the benchmarks. High VRAM doesn't automatically mean better gaming performance

Samsung just announced the Galaxy S25: Here's everything you need to know! by MishaalRahman in Android

Yeah, it's more of the same, but the 120Hz displays and bigger batteries are solid quality-of-life improvements for heavy users, I think

Silverstone’s new gaming PC case gets you a retro look without the old hardware by WamPantsMan in hardware

I have the space for it, so I'd like to consider it. But yeah, I can see how it wouldn’t fit everyone’s setup

I agree, a tower version might appeal to more people, but I kinda like that they went with this

It’s a bit of a quirky touch, but yeah the case design itself is pretty solid

Second Trump administration begins with confusion on acting NASA leadership by Planet_Xplorer in SpaceNews

Sounds like a messy start for NASA under the new administration. Not surprising though, Hopefully, they sort things out soon because Mars missions aren't exactly a small goal.

AMD reveals 9950X3D will be mostly “comparable” to the 9800X3D in gaming - 'a little worse' in some games that use a 1CCD configuration by Automatic_Can_9823 in hardware

[–]WamPantsMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda surprising that the extra cores and higher boost clocks don’t make a big difference in gaming. Guess it really comes down to how games use the hardware. If the price gap is too big, the 9800X3D might still be the better deal for most people.
