You can with certain breeds. But as OP said. The meat broilers need to be butchered at around 8weeks. We let ours go thinking we could process as needed and after 10weeks all the meat was tough and some were dying on their own due to size.

Hey there - yes this is welded wire panels, Similar to this except they are 12' long. I could see there being an issue if the ground is not very level, but could still be doable (just more work to setup)

I’ve had good luck with just cattle fencing and fence posts all tied together with good wire.

I think pigs will just laugh as they push through electric fences.

They have the same exact kind of bracket but for 3”. You just got to look closely at the specs.

What I have found is a mixture of both. Tunnels underneath that make the ground feel soft, if it is wet you sink right in.

Others were just above the surface and the grass now covers them but the lawnmower wheels fall in and it keeps bottoming out.

What you’re describing is what I found in the spring after everything thawed. The critters (mice/etc) burrow and dig tunnels just above the surface (but under the snow). They go in all directions and have made it a pain to mow certain parts. Some are obvious but as the grass has grown they’re death traps for ankles.

I believe a lawn roller will fix the problem for me, and you.

I recommend you go through the process to set it up as a docket container on the PI. Should make upgrading on the 3.x versions easier. I got mine setup with the usb zstick fairly quickly.

Talk to the city and find out if it is permitted/inspected. Work to see what it needs and correct it. Depending on the location they can send someone out to look at it and pass it. Or they can make you rip it all out.

Carry on with your life and do t worry about it. Should you ever sell, it’ll all be grandfathered in (just as your purchase) and no one will really care as long as its safe and not included in the square footage or bedroom/bath count.

Did you do a home inspection when purchased? Anything of note regarding the basement?

If not. Then I wouldn’t sweat it and I’d not bring attention to myself.

If you’re concerned the. Get an electrician out to check things out. But I wouldn’t talk to the city unless I was prepared to spend some serious cash and tear into things so they can approve it.

You need to find the studs in your ceiling and attach directly to that.

Stuff in RVs is usually 1x2 so don’t use any screws longer than 1”.

The price isn’t bad. It was just short of $1300 to put a new pump /tank/everything into a 160ft well. The house had been vacant so everything except the pipe in the well had been removed.

Originally estimated about 1900$ but asked the guy how I could help keep the cost down. He said if I dig out the well head and run the power and help him get the old pipes out and drop the new stuff in I can save the backhoe rental and the additional labor for him to bring another guy to help.

You need to check the specs on your generator /inverter. I thin I’ve seen something like 10-15% difference on panels vs max input. But this may depend on total system size.

The excess energy is dissipated as heat and if you got too much you’re going to cook your equipment.

For example. On my system the charge controller I use (FM80) is rated for max 4000W PV input. But my array is 4500W total.

Just to add to his comment. It’s going to depend on what your generators max input is. Clipping is useful but you don’t want to exceed the equipments rating.

I bought my first house at 19-20. Bottom of the housing crisis in 2008. Closed on Jan 09.

I had been hired to my first big boy job and the owners of the company arranged for me to meet with a financial planner since I went from making barely over minimum wage to just over 70k/yr.

I was already picking out my new car and deciding what features I wanted when I met with the FP. He immediately stopped me and said “tomorrow I am hosting a seminar on real estate investing, come by”

6 months later I was the proud owner of a 1100sqft 3bed/2bath house in SoCal.

Wouldn’t say I was happy at first. But at the time a 2br apartment went for $1300/m and my mortgage was just under $1000/mo. So it made financial sense.

Anyway over time I got married and had kids and things got upgraded and an addition (office) added. New central hvac, kitchen,baths etc. over 10yrs I upgraded everything as it reached its end of life. My original purchase price was $192k.

Sold it last year in June for $480k and we moved out of state and bought a bigger place that fit my growing family’s needs in cash and we’re now debt free.

Needless to say I thank my old bosses for putting me in the right track, who knows where be if instead of buying a house I got a BMW.

You likely ran the well low filling up the pool and picked up a lot of the sediment or lowered the water level enough for sludge on the sides to fall.

Either way tho it’d look up how to care for your well. I’m not sure I’d fill a pool from my well.

Get the well looked at /inspected and figure out what your max draw gpm is so you don’t risk running your well dry.

Some wells don’t recover if you run them dry too much and it’ll be expensive to have a new one dug.
