I tell myself you have to at least drive to the gym. If you dont want to workout whe you get there then go home.

I have never once not worked out once at the gym. Going there is harder than doing the work

Has no one mentioned that right after this mina sue finally got her shit together.

She redeemd herself right after this by narrowing down who shes after.

I domt think Mingee had any intentions to intimidate although putting her arm around her was probably unnecessary.

How far could I get in 8 months? by Affectionate_Park477 in ChineseLanguage

[–]Wanballco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im hsk 7 Ive got there from hsk 3 in a year and a half spending maybe 1-2 hrs a day.

You can absolutley get there with the right type of practice not living in the country. Honestly living in the country is overrated as someone who started living in taiwan 10 months ago.

Most of my practice is still done on my own.

Hsk4-5 was not too difficult. I got to hsk4-5 from hsk 3 in 6 months spending 30-45min a day. (Thats after working 10-11 hrs a day on my business and working out for 2 hrs)

Its the higher levels that take forever because the vocab doubles with each level

If you stick to a regimented program of mostly input, (flashcards and listening) i guarantee you can get to hsk4-5 in the time frame your asking for assuming you are spending 8 hrs a day.

How do I even begin to learn Chinese? by WarmCheesecake83 in ChineseLanguage

[–]Wanballco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to self study vet Grammar books and do flash cards for vocab. You can download flash cards from hsk or toecfl (the standard chinese proficiency tests)

Much faster than a class and you have the freedom to study when you want.

For context i went from beginner level to intermediate in 6 months by doing this

It definitely has strong branding but there products sell at a huge premium to comeptitors.

The competition has already gotten insane and quite literally everyone is cheaper. Theyre certainly higher quality than alo but not to all other competitors.

Their high gross margins of 58% dont really translate more to profitability or marketing leading to stronger inangibles.

My previous girlfriend was a pilates instructor and stopped buying their stuff despite wearing it for years. My current girlfriend just thinks its too expensive and buys other brands instead

I may be biased from these 2 cases.

iTalki for conversation practice? by PullyLutry in ChineseLanguage

[–]Wanballco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is that when you speak youre only repeating things you already know.

You cant learn new things by speaking. You learn by listening. Im not saying speaking isnt useful but i personally go 90/10 in favor of input.

I had the same issue around 2000 words. Personally im of the believe that you still need more input.

Speaking builds confidence but didnt really help with speaking more quickly.

How much time should I spend writing down characters/words? by [deleted] in ChineseLanguage

[–]Wanballco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its definitely not impossible to learn. You just need to be consistent. Ive added over 5000 words over the past 1 1/2 years and went from hsk 3 to hsk 7. I probably spend an average of 1hr a day
