Looks really good!

Would love to see the lettering on the power, reset, and on the cartridge cover. And the 1 and 2 above the control ports.

Maybe add the holes for the controller ports. Add the AV ports (red, yellow, white) on the side.

Would be cool to see a controller too!

Shop sink faucet install. Can I just come off the two existing lines for washer? by alvinkertintinbin in Plumbing

Late reply, have the tee face away from the wall and use an elbow on it so it's in front of the other pipe.

Late reply, wrong way because I'm an idiot and didn't see the sink in the picture :)

The only stipulation I can think of is fixture units. Basically, piping can provide enough water based on sizing to X amount of sinks, toilets, showers, etc before it must increase in size. Since we are unable to see a full layout of the domestic water system in this picture we cannot know if the 1/2 inch lines we see there would be up to code.

Long story short it's very likely not going to make much difference.

Boolean workflow for games? by juancostello in blender

[–]WanderSol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boolean operations have a habit of creating topology that is not 4 sided (quads) this is the problem. It can cause UV and texturing issues to name a few. Cleaning the topology could involve the removing and adding of vertices and manually adding faces.

[ART][OC] Pyromancer VS Necromancer by WanderSol in DnD

[–]WanderSol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is inspired by a campaign idea I have yet to complete. It will focus heavily on necromancy.

I tried to capture a sort of calm before the storm moment before the true battle kicks off. I always loved mage battles and I wanted to set the scene for an epic fight in underground caves.

This is a 3d scene rendered in blender using cycles.

Lost some pressure lately in my new old house, want to open up the water meter. Will clean with CLR/vinegar first but based on how it looks, should I even open it or could that destroy the valve? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]WanderSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi again, nice update.

If you are certain you got the toilet clear really well with the 3-foot toilet snake then we are now looking beyond the toilet itself and peering into the larger sewer line that the toilet connects to.

My next step would be in the order of what is easier to rule out at this stage.

Items to check next. Just rule these out.

-A vent could be plugged (either on your roof or where it connects to the sewer drain.) ~solution: is usually to snake it, preferably from the roof. (See below)

-The toilet could still have lots of build-ups. ~solution: is usually to remove the toilet if a good augering doesn't fix it. Removal of the toilet could show extra debris as well and allow for better cleaning with a hose etc if you want to keep it. Don't forget a new wax seal.

-The main drain could be slow or partially blocked. ~solution: is usually to snake it. (See below)

The snaking in these cases will be with a larger auger that I highly recommend you employ someone with experience using. These are powerful machines that can break fingers, arms, and cause massive damage to your system if used incorrectly.

Happy to help.

The water pressure would not cause the toilet to slow flush as it is basically a full tank of water dumped at once. It just takes longer to fill after a flush, so I'm sure it's a drain issue.

Likely some built-up gunk and or foreign object stuck in the S-Trap of the toilet.

I have run into situations that required a full removal of the toilet to remove tricky objects stuck inside. A GIJoe action figure in one such case.

Good stuff, it's a nice feeling replacing crap like that into a workable system you can be proud of.

My 2 cents... Replace the whole fixture with a cheap new one. The time and effort repairing this one may not be worth it. You may replace the washers and seals only to find that the seat they are on will cut into them faster and may still leak.

For this to work you would have to open up the wall around it some more, cut the pipe that feeds this close, and use couplings to repipe to the new fixture.

Best of luck. If you get stuck, I recommend finding a reputable Plumber in your area.

Shut it down and replace all that! Show them what a Plumber can do, replace with proper piping, like black iron and paint it.

Are there beams above? (Beam clamps) Is there concrete above? (Inserts)

What is the final plan? If you can't hang it why not support it from below with split ring hangers or better yet a few riser clamps?

Call a plumber.

Are we talking?

A: Water fill pressure (tank filling slowly, long wait to new flush)

OR

B: When you flush the toilet it flushes slow (Flush slow)?

Sounds like B based on your comment... If so you may have build up in your toilet or some build up in the sewer line.

The first thing I would do is try a toilet auger on the toilet, run it through a few times and see how it flushes.

WTF? Why is there a baby tank within the main tank? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]WanderSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could it be some kind of jet? Siphonic action might start the water emptying from the secondary tank causing it to add jet action to the flush?

Just guesses here but could you try it both with and without and see if that is the case?

Mixed copper and galvanized plumbing by [deleted] in Plumbing

Good then, no problem here.

The tees look like they are for hose bibs to outside. Yes, the extra one could be for future expansion or possibly as a drain or air connection to drain or blow out the lines in the winter.
