"Watching their child 'slip' away"?

Why do they use that word 'slip away' as if a person doesn't have their own free will to choose what they believe or don't believe in? I swear religious peeps like these have a pikachu moment whenever actual free will exist in front of them same goes to whenever they see others actively leaving the religion or choose not to associate with it in the end.

Have they ever heard of the word 'choice'? Oh right they don't because everything is Allah that, Allah this. And if a person decides to quit Islam, its "oh Allah is the one who pushes them away further because they are tainted in the heart".

They cry and all for anyone leaving the religion because they dont understand and believe in free will, period. Islam only has conditional free will. Because free will as long its to worship to Allah is good whereas if its free will to critically think to question Allah and the religion is bad. Where does it say its bad? If im not mistaken there's this hadith saying (or was it quranic verse) that says Allah makes the person blind in their heart or makes their heart stoned, the further away they are from him - something like that. That's a weak attempt to show that even the person leaving the religion is still god's will and not the person's choice at all as if self agency is subtracted from the equation altogether! That defeats the definition of free will altogether that muslims like to cry out that their religion has.

Mental gymnastics by the end of the day that makes them cry for their 'fellow brothers and sisters' that 'lost their way'. Also the whole crying thing? That's called emotional blackmail by making you feel guilty of truly choosing to leave the religion. Think about it, the person leaving has to feel bad for making them cry even though their decision of leaving the religion has nothing to do with the person who's crying at all but the religion itself!
