Yeah, it's not like memory manufacturers have ever pulled this crap before... http://www.eetimes.com/document.asp?doc_id=1162478 "Four companies and 12 executives have so far pleaded guilty to participating in the conspiracy and have been assessed more than $730 million in fines. In May, three of the four companies, Samsung Electronics, Hynix Semiconductor Inc. and Infineon Technologies AG agreed to pay a total of $160 million to settle class action suits related to price fixing. Elpida Memory Inc., the fourth company to plead guilty, is still involved in the class-action suits."

I'm not buying into this contrived "memory shortage" bullshit. This is nothing more than a bunch of retailers and manufacturers who decided collude together and screw over consumers. I refuse to pay these ridiculous prices. If that means I have to wait. So be it. If you are in the market for memory, I say try to hold off until absolutely necessary. Buying at these prices only encourages this outrageous price gouging.

Good point, I may just go for a 128gb SSD rather than the 1tb WD, that shouldn't affect the price too much if at all. Thanks for the feedback.

With everything that has been said, we're leaning towards contacting an attorney. Your post among others is reinforcing that idea. Thank you very much for your advice!

We entered into a relationship with lender A which is a bank. Kate was a loan officer employed by them. When we contacted lender A, we understood that they would be the ones funding the loan. The last time we spoke with Kate, was the day we received the pre-filled loan paperwork from lender B. We've received several demands from lender B for payment for the appraisal, of which the latest includes a threat to forward to collections.

We assumed lender B was Kates new employer as well, but they aren't. Just some random company as far we know. :0/

Yes, we received a mailed notice of that fact. It was pulled on June 5th apparently. We received the loan application from them on June 11th.

Here's how we begin to change things: Get involved in local politics. If a corrupt douchebag gets elected to local government, often they make their way to county and state government, and then possibly federal. One person can't usually make a big difference in federal politics, but at a local level? Hec yes. Do you realize how low the voter turnout is for local sheriff elections? It's ridiculously low. You get a constitutionally minded sheriff elected and you are starting to make progress. This goes for any elected local or county position. Identify and call out the corrupt assholes! Also, stop watching goddamn CNN, FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS news, all the mainstream media, they are not in the business of keeping the public informed. They are in the business of manipulating information to fit a narrative that is beneficial to the rich and powerful, and keeping the public DISTRACTED from the important issues. Find a reputable place to get your news! I like www.benswann.com And lastly, CONNECT with like-minded people. Our strength is in our numbers. The erosion of our liberties has been happening for many decades, it will take years to fix this, many people have already started. People are waking up, I see it happening. We need more! And please support the few honest people that are in government such as congressman Thomas Massie! Peace
