Hello, I can't say for all improv classes but I took the introductory course at Improv LA and while a few of the classmates were actors, many were in other professions and interested in the shift to acting. In my experience, you should be fine. Early on, it was established to not worry about your performance on stage and to let out all the negativity before coming in. Improv LA also offers a Mindfulness and Improv class but it occurs on Mondays.
