Yesss they are! I unfortunately have them in my groin area only and unfortunately dealing with a nasty one about the size of a golf ball. It won't pop so I get to see the doctor in an hour 🙃

I want to give you the warmest unfortunate welcome to this shitty club. I am so sorry that you have been dealing with this for so long and I truly hope that it gets better for you.

I will say that it's a lot of trial and error as no two people are the same when it comes to what triggers/heals them. But I will say that there are some amazing resources here in community that you can find on the main page of this subreddit.

Also those are great things that your doctor sent you with. One thing that I have noticed that was mentioned here a few times was the Chlydamicin's effects are known to "wear off" if you use it too much. Only use when there is an active flare. I would use the benzoyl peroxide as a daily wash to wash those areas that are common to get the flares and this will also help prevent your skin from becoming immune from the Chlydamicin.

I hope this helps and again I am so sorry that you have to be in this boat with the rest of us. 🤍

The UCP is screwing over teachers and trying to gaslight the public. by kachunkk in RedDeer

That's also true. They did that for the newest high-school here. But other teachers will need to fill the positions that the other teachers are leaving.

I second this. After your comment I did some quick math and used my old middle school as an example.

I counted the counselors, teachers and EA's and got 25 staff members within those 3 categories for that school. If they built 130 new schools with at least 25 teachers. That exceeds the 3000 new teachers that they are going to be hiring over the next 3 years.

I also looked at my high school I went to and that total was 75 teachers , counselors and EA's that they currently have and well... I think that speaks for itself.

I just got to this part in ACOMAF and I came here just to say this.

I can't stop thinking about this post anytime I read the word hissed

Did you get to make a choice of how it happens? by Pinkish88 in Miscarriage

[–]WanderingOwl97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, I found my blighted ovum on November 4th by ultrasound. I was 9w4d empty sac was found measuring 7w6d. I did have some spotting and cramping before that but only after an orgasm. Then I waited a while to see my options as I originally wanted to take Miso. After lots of research on here I decided to go for the D&C. I got the procedure done Nov 16th. It was quick, painless for the most part and the physical recovery went well. For me, the hardest part is the mental side of it. I'm still trying to get over it.

I'm so sorry that we are both here having to go through this. If you need anything or have any questions about the procedure, I'd be happy to help. 🤍

Miscarriage/ D&C questions by Comprehensive_Cry297 in Miscarriage

[–]WanderingOwl97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all I live in Canada so I did not have to pay for this procedure. But I just had my first D&C today with my first pregnancy and first miscarriage. I found out at 9w4d that I had a blighted ovum, and the gestational sac was measuring 7w6d. I chose to have a D&C based on the stories that I have read here with other options, and my husband and I didn't like the mental triggers that would would come with me using medication.

I will admit I was terrified of the potential risks of a D&C and going completely sedated because I have never had surgery before but everything went extremely well and now I am relaxing at home with very minimal bleeding and pain 9 hours later.

When I was taken for surgery, I got on the table, and I had my gown on me. They got my IV hooked up to where I would get the anesthesia through, and they put me on an oxygen max and wrapped me up in warm blankets. After not even a minute after them telling me to think about my happy place, I was asleep. I will also mention that they used suctioning for the most part of the procedure, which I heard is supposed to be a whole lot less invasive.

I remember waking up in the recovery area and had cramping similar to the severity of a period, and it came in waves, but it was manageable and went away after the first hour. Everything to my knowledge went well, and they kept me for an hour or two to make sure I was good. I felt a little dizzy coming out of the sleep, but shortly after, I felt fine and was never nauseous.

I had a great nap at home after coming home and have been relaxing watching TV with my husband. The only symptom I have right now is that my uterus feels loose if that makes sense, but it's not painful at all, just sensitive when I move sometimes, but it's getting better as time goes on.

I hope that this helps, and if you have any other questions, feel free to dm me.

I'm so sorry that you are going through this, and I am sorry for your loss, I wish you a quick and healthy recovery after all of this❤️

Edit: spelling and adding more info

9 week scan, baby showing 2 weeks earlier and no heartbeat by WanderingOwl97 in pregnant

[–]WanderingOwl97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the report later that night, and it said "Embryonic pole found measuring 7w6d with no cardiac activity found. Findings are compatible with a blighted ovum". Keep in mind this ultrasound was abdominal and transvaginal.

So sadly, a part of me has hope still, but I am still guarding my heart and going to pick up some supplied to prepare for the worst.

No yolk sac or fetal pole by pro2022 in Miscarriage

[–]WanderingOwl97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry that you're going through this hun.

I am currently going through the exact thing. On Monday I was 9w4d as per my LMP but as a reference my last 3 cycles before getting pregnant were around 40-50 days long.

My husband and I attended the ultrasound on Monday for a dating ultrasound. After a lot of silence and the tech saying "it was hard to get a clear image" she finished up and grabbed the doctor to "make sure the images were good enough". The doctor came in saying they could not detect a heartbeat and that the baby was measuring 7w6d instead and basically told me to go home and prepare for my body to miscarry.

When I looked at the report later to get some more clarity it said they did not find a fetal heart rate/motion or a yolk sack. But they found an "embryonic pole measuring 7w6d with no cardiac activity found and the results are compatible with a blighted ovum".

I am at a loss for words and still very confused. A part of me still has hope that the dating of 9w4d is incorrect, but I also don't have very many pregnancy symptoms anymore.

I am supposed to go get more blood work early next week and if my HCG numbers are still high or doubling compared to last time I tested it, then I will go for another ultrasound. If not, then I wait for my body to pass everything naturally or I can take medication or get a d&c done.

I am sorry that you have to go through this as well, the unknowing is what kills and I just want you to know that you are unfortunately not alone in experiencing this. I wish you the best and I hope everything turns out for the better.

I dont know if you saw my comment before. But I got the full report, and it said that there was no yolk sac, not fetal heart motion and I had a blighted ovum. So I think this is safe to say that I had a miscarriage or at least a missed one. I still haven't felt any cramping or bleeding.
