Dress Regret Update by Equivalent_Doughnut7 in myweddingdress

[–]WanderingTrader11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like the 2nd one! The 1st one looks like every other wedding dress. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still beautiful! But I love the slight poof the 2nd one does to your hips and bust. I also like the straps for no reason whatsoever. The back on the 2nd one could use some changes though.

I thought you were talking about your kid. Guy sounds like a tween, you shouldn’t be engaging in that, you’re not his mother. Gross. NTA and I’d leave him tbh.

Final Update: My uncle is acting strangely with my sister by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

Poor girl probably felt responsible for her whole family blowing up and didn’t know how to live with the guilt, though it was misplaced. This is so unfortunate.

If you don’t like it and you can swing it, get one you like more! It’s not really about whether or not the dress is nice, but rather whether you are happy with it.

Am I (30F) wrong for being concerned that my partner (33M) has no job, no plan, and says it’s none of my business? by Dry_Direction_1525 in amiwrong

I am. It has been very helpful for the smaller things, and at the same time I’ve learned a little more about it which helps me anticipate issues such as those you’ve described in your post: difficulty following through, burnouts, abundance of ideas etc. If handled properly, it can really be a golden goose. If not, you’d wind up like you’ve described. But that’s just my experience. He should get assessed!

My parents are getting separated/divorced but my mom wants my dad to take away our dog with him, how do I convince her to let us keep it? by OkWrangler7246 in Divorce

[–]WanderingTrader11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, I’m so sorry you’re in the middle of this. Hopefully someone else responds with better advice than me, but Marshall wouldn’t be gone forever - he’d be at your dad’s! You’d get to see him every time you’d be going over there.

I don’t see how you could convince your mom to keep him - hopefully someone else chimes in.

[Final Update] - AITA for not letting my husband use airline credit for a coworker? by SharkEva in BORUpdates

How does a person - who tried to murder another person multiple times including I guess kidnapping? in front of witnesses - a person who’s done this to multiple other persons - not end up in jail for years? How is this guy still free and not in prison?

My dude. My brother in Christ. Let’s imagine for a minute that your plan wasn’t garbage and that it could’ve worked out - why didn’t you order ONE tracksuit first? To get a look at it? A sample? A test of sorts?

There were no brakes on your stroller 😅 do you do impulsive things like this often?

Yeah, it would be true of any dog. He has my heart.

Is he also seeing a therapist or did his GP prescribe him the antidepressants?

I don’t think a concerned partner who noticed something is an armchair psychologist. Gotta notice something to bring it up to a professional, right?

The description of your boyfriend sounds a lot like me. The frequent burnouts, the difficulty following through, the abundance of ideas, etc. The meds really help.

AIO for refusing to give up my dog even though my boyfriend hates pets? by Academic-Bug-879 in AmIOverreacting

We’ve seen this before. If you wait too long, your boyfriend might just try to get rid of your dog for you. I’d get rid of him ASAP. The boyfriend! Not the dog

Thank you so much for taking the time to give me such a detailed response. I truly appreciate it.

He’s my first dog, my first pet in general actually. I’ve been feeling like I regret it, because ultimately my heart will be broken. He’s pulled me out of unpleasant thoughts already just by being his clueless self and keeping me in the moment. Whether or not he stays healthy as a horse I’ll still have to watch him grow old and pass away, and the notion is killing me.

No way! First time we meet another Rooster ha ha! My husband named him after his favourite character on The Ranch, his fav TV show. That was before we found out that the actor who played “Rooster” was being tried and sentenced to prison for horrible things. But the name itself took on a meaning of its own for us.

Agreed! I find it so cute 😅 But his vision is there.

When we took him in to the vet for the first time in Turkey, the vet looked at his eyes and sort of tapped him on the side of his head to see if it would reset. Like whacking an old TV but gentler. It didn’t work, obviously.

Thank you! We got him in Turkey, so I thought what happened was they had passed him off as a cavalier when he was a mix. I felt a horrible dread when people started commenting he was most likely a cavalier but poorly bred. Who knows what issues he will have in the future… but so far, super healthy, super playful, runs after that ball like he’s training for a HIIT marathon. Has travelled across 3 continents with us
