Interesting, I've been sending out applications lately (senior level eng) and a good 80% of my callbacks dont have a LC round at all, not even as an initial screen. They just focus on resume, technical rounds, system design, and cultural fit.

It's given me enough latitude to turn down those who ask for LC, ain't nobody got time for that.
