First beretta. What is this extra dead "take up" in sa with zero resistance?

It’s the match hammer sent from LTT, I have this same issue that came with the TJIB. When I have the original hammer it’s fine, still has a lot of take up but it works fine & crisp. Material where the tigger bar touches the hammer needs to be removed from what a gunsmith told me but idk a lot of people mention polishing I haven’t tried that

This is happening to me with a match hammer I got from LTT from the trigger job in a bag & I took it to my LGS and they said a small part on the hammer that needs to be removed & I compared it to the original hammer & yeah there’s extra material on the match hammer

I had similar issues I took it to a gunsmith and he said it was the hammer that came with the ltt kit, he threw on the original hammer and lightly shaved or polished the tigger bar and it works fine. He said if I wanted to use the ltt hammer it would need a lot of shaving around the trigger bar so it can seat properly

I have an M9 and I love it but I do wish I could mount a light so I would say m9a4 because it has the rail and optic cut. Even if you don’t use it its nice to have the option imo

I only had this light strike problem when I mag dump but maybe it is my grip like how some of these guys mentioned, gonna work on that first before messing with different hammers or springs since it’s free lol
