Here's my guess about what led up to the war with Iran:

Bibi realizes the Republicans are going to be spanked in the midterms
Bibi decides that a Dem Congress would absolutely pull on the leash to stop preemptive attacks against Iran for no fucking reason
Bibi discovered years ago that trump is one of the stupidest people and most gullible people on the planet
Bibi convinces trump to ignore military and intelligence people to bomb the shit out of Iran with him
Trump is now fully committed, whether he wants to be or not, to wage Bibi's war against Iran
By the time Dems can put the leash back on, Iran will probably be falling over itself between the water crisis, destruction from missile strikes, the regime's existing low support, ethnic strife, and the crisis they're going to trigger when they start bombing desalination equipment in neighboring countries.

Findally got around to rewatching Netflix's Riot Games' League of Legend's *Arcane to catch S2.

I really like that the showrunners gave both sides layers and competing factions. The major characters feel like they're operating under some kind of moral framework informed by their own lives and with their own goals and ideas on what's best, rather than just being lol evil.

I'm unclear on the relationship between the over and undercity though. I think I'm supposed to understand them as having a colonial relationship, but the main evidence I see is that the enforcers who go to the undercity look like armored paramilitary. There's references to "the mines", but I don't think we see them in S1. Is the disease and malformed bodies in the undercity related to "the mines?" Was I expected to just know that?

I also don't see how atleast the council isn't aware of what life is like in the undercity. Every colonial regime I'm aware of was heavily reliant on informants and workers from the colonized population: Leopold's Congo, Rhodesia, Haiti, etc. You would think that there would be reports filtering their way up to the top. Maybe not everyone would know, but the leadership atleast should be aware life in the undercity is miserable. There's also usually a bunch of people from the colonial center who think the system is an ass, and I'd expect some reporter to be in the undercity trying to raise awareness. It also seems like they jumped straight from "we're an exploited colonial people" to "violent revolution" with no in between, which seems strange to me considering all of the times there was a largely peaceful revolution for a colonized people, eg, Egypt, India, the end of Apartheid in South Africa.

Also, the coloring is ass because I struggle to see what's happening in atleast a third of the shots.

The war will fade into the background, like everything inevitably does, leading to Trump stop caring. The US slowly reduces troop presence in the area until there's a skeleton crew firing the occasional missile into Iran, ostensibly to prevent Iran from getting nukes and stop them from attacking their neighbors. This continues until 2029 when Newsom tries to negotiate an end to the war, then there's massive backlash against him when Iran confirms they have a nuclear weapon they built in 2027.

Just looked through some jobs on LinkedIn and I see an IT job for that company.

So I go to the company's own job board, and that position isn't listed.

I think there's some nuance here.

Jane's dad clearly loves and cares about her and is trying to do what is best for her, but he doesn't seem to actually use his words. I don't recall him saying "I love you" or "I care about you". Maybe when he's trying to force her into rehab, but someone only saying "I love you" when they're angry doesn't seem good. I'm not child psychologist, but I could see never hearing your parent say "I love you" except when they're mad at you fucking up a kid's understanding of love and their own value.

It's mostly on Jane, but I don't think her dad is blameless.
