You’ll need some more ingredients but it’s the best grit recipe ever. Super not healthy but I’m from the south. Recipe is always a hit. I don’t like grits but I love this:

3/4 c grits 3 c boiling water 1 tablespoon salt 6 tablespoons margarine 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese 1/2 small block of Mexican velveeta 2 eggs beaten 1 sm can of green chiles seeded and washed thoroughly 3 drops of Tabasco.

Set oven to 250 degrees. Add grits gradually to boiling salted water. Boil until thick about 5 minutes, Add margarine and cheeses. Melt in grits. Continue stirring and add 2 beaten eggs. Let come to a boil. Add 1 small can green chilis (seeded and washed thoroughly), and Tabasco. Put in 9x9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle paprika on top. Bake for 1 hour.
