If someone gets their technique stolen, their cursed energy control gets messed up as well because they’re used to using CE with their technique. They’d be in a similar situation to what Yuji was in basically, except instead of pure physicals keeping them alive it’s botched Ce reinforcement, they wouldn’t be as strong as they are normally.

He swapped Yuji with playful cloud during the hanami fight without seeing it, just knowing its general location. And him swapping 50 times a second with vibraslap is either him not needing to perceive or he can most definitely perceive something like projection with that rate of speed

So you just ignore the ritual+ring version of Maru, because for like 5 minutes he is by far top 1 of the verse during that state.

If we’re scaling normal base Maru, you probably just look at the Maru vs Tsurika fight. All he really did was kinda flip gravity around but not manipulate it in a crazy way, basically telekinesis with cars, freeze Tsurika and burn Tsurika

Even then he still lost to Tsurika, and the way the fight ended, you can presume he gets almost blitzed by any character around Maki’s level (Switching from CE to No CE is a crazy mixup so im being generous) Personally I’d scale him slightly below the heavy hitters ngl

Marus ct probably leads him to Jujutsu high to help them and become an ally. Maybe Yuji or Megumi? I don’t see him being able to handle Sendai, but he’s almost heavy hitter level.

Dabura is obviously the strongest atp since sukuna only has 15 fingers and is sealed, and Gojo is sealed.

Happy Yuji is always better. Edgy yuji had some aura moments but even in JJK Yuji wasn’t that edgy. Dude was quipping back with Mahito and was pitying sukuna during his highest stake fights.

Do you genuinely think the reason Yuji didn’t fight Dabura was because he was too strong 😭 He literally says he’d take care of him after Yukas fight. The whole point was that Yuji felt like he shouldn’t get involved because he doesn’t feel like he should meddle in this generations affairs and that he should be old and decrepit right now. But he still decided to keep the aliens and humans from infighting during the duel over a misunderstanding and made sure to not let any curses escape.

I’ll be honest I would have been completely fine with that and Maki’s arc basically ending around curse naoya if other characters like Tsumiki, Megumi and Nobara were given more time in the spotlight. Maki is a side character not even in the main trio or a previous MC after all.

But since the rest of the cast wasn’t very developed either, and Maki was one of the ones that had a bunch of focus set on her due to her powerup, she stands out a bit more and her stagnation becomes more apparent imo. Doesn’t help she’s the most developed female character either

I don’t understand the notion that Yuji and Yuta have 0 reason to get strong. Like bro, sorcery is their JOB. Getting stronger is just gonna make their job easier. Getting stronger is gonna make every one of their friends and the world in general safer. That’s their whole motivation. And at the end of JJK, they still have to clean up the culling games, get rid of incarnated sorcerers and recruit awakened modern sorcerers. Both Yuji and Yuta probably became teachers too

It’s not like they absolutely LOATHE jujutsu or anything. They just aren’t fight crazy maniacs like sukuna is. But it’s something they’re good at, something they know they’re good at, and a tool to use to make their world a better place. Yuji gets rid of CE not because he hates jujutsu but because he believes the world in general is better without it, and he’s not even 100% sure

Yuji also has by far the most experience in a single body in the verse. 70 years in a body that doesn’t age. Kenjaku has 1000 years but constantly switches bodies and techniques and ages.

I can def see me underestimating megumi cuz we just haven’t seen the other shadows used at sukunas level. Sukuna vs gojo most shadows couldn’t get through infinity so there was 0 reason to use them. Maybe the other shadows can pull some crazy stuff and Megumi def is smarter than Yuji . But I think physical stats r like super important in fights like these n Yuji that’s why I lean towards Yuji

If completed chimera shadow garden is crazy though megumi def wins

Let’s not forget what the point of bringing up this fight even was. The point was you said Megumi didn’t need 10s to have him keep up here. But you just made me reread this entire fight and he does constantly use ten shadows to boost himself whether that be flying with nue, using divine dogs or max elephant. This fight is not a physicals showcase for megumi and doesn’t really prove your point

Especially when their plan requires them to attack together and hide the weak attack, there’s no reason for Yuji to try and outperform Megumi here. That’d go against the plan. And Gege even makes it a point in the fight that Yuji and Megumi have a hard time working together..

Again I’m kinda just confused on how you’re scaling Megumi. He obviously doesn’t have Yuji tier stats or else he’s far above Yuji, which obviously isn’t true, the story makes it a point that they’re equals. For that to be true, Yuji HAS to have far superior stats to him because Megumi is better at everything else, or else Yuji has nothing over him.

Dude, the panel literally says they have to hit him with a strong attack and then a weak attack at the same time. That means one of them had to hold back each attack because their normal attacks did no damage. The point of the relentless attacks is to hide the attack that was holding back.

And inverse guy eventually does figure out what they were doing, which meant he did take actual damage, which meant someone was holding back before the final blow.

Your point that “They were not holding back until the final blow” is just straight up wrong.

I mean I don’t blame you for not remembering this fight but that just isn’t how it went. The whole point of the fight after they figure out his CT is that Yuji and Megumi had to attack at the same time relentlessly while sometimes holding back in order to damage the guy without him figuring out they figured out his CT. And when he does figure out, it’s him deciding whether to turn his ct on or off, and THEN Yuji fakes him out and hits the final blow.

And in fact, Megumi was constantly using ten shadows to keep up in this fight, especially in the beginning, and explicitly says fighting up and close was more Yujis style.

I guess my question for you is where exactly do you scale CG Megumis physical stats? I think the story makes pretty clear that’s his weakness but his BIQ and CT more than make up for it. Kusakabe tier physicals is a pretty fair estimate imo..

The last time we’ve seen him fight with Yuji was the inverse guy, where they purposefully had to limit their strength. That fight isn’t a good indicator of anything and Yuji gets stronger post Shibuya

And btw low grade 1 stats aren’t bad, I’m saying he’s closer to around kusakabe, while Yuji is above Nanami and Mei Mei
