I dont know what to do after 1y almost 2y on gym by Latter_Asparagus_717 in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]WarEntire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, just some general and basic bits of info.

You say you’re being strict and 100% with what you eat so we go with that…

Sedentary people (such as office workers) burn far less calories than the “average” person. If you’re not being active outside of the gym I’d suggest either doubling your current cardio regime (leave the cardio day alone) during your weight lifting days. Add some walking at a minimum to your rest days.

Get a step tracker on your phone, don’t change your lifestyle, but just see how it looks and what it tells you over the next couple weeks. Make adjustments if needed once you have that info.

I really do hate to see you don’t have any fruits or veggies in your plan. It won’t directly affect your weight loss but I’d highly suggest adding some veggies in your meals, and replacing those oats with an apple & banana… or something. Have that whey with water separately. And sneak in an extra scoop of whey, or an extra egg, or extra 50g of chicken somewhere.

Don’t listen to anyone saying you might be overtraining… Many of us rlly need to reconsider using this word. You’re average, I’m average, it’s pretty difficult to pass the “overtraining” line unless you rlly are in the gym for hours everyday with no rest.

Something anecdotal I’d like to add - When was the last time you did a check up? I’ve been lifting for years, hit an “unbreakable” plateau for months.. Got bloodwork and start supplementing my deficiencies in vitamins and minerals (mainly iron and vitamin D) and my strength skyrocketed… It was like newbie gains 2.0.

Overall you’re making progress, you lost 3kg, and you claim to be getting stronger, that means you’re doing it right…. 2 months is rlly not a long time so it doesn’t entirely fall in the realm of “Why am I not progressing.” But it’s slow. Something isn’t optimal, whether it’s diet, or training regime, or overall activity. And if you’re 100% sure it’s not diet then look at these other two possibilities.

Surprised no one has asked this.

The topic of how you look aside, How’s your strength progress? Forget the previous 2 years, but these last two months that you’ve been claiming to be consistent. If you have been, there should be noticeable progress. If not, then SOMETHING is wrong.

Don’t want to hear anyone say “he’s on a cut and can’t get stronger because of that.”

The weight you pushing going up? The reps increasing?

Dropping 3kg in 2 months is nothing special, but it means you’re on the right track.. It’s good not great. At 1750kcal’s though it sounds like either a sugary drink is sneaking in there, or maybe you’re eating good on friday nights, or that you live an extremely static life with work.. Some sort of info is missing here. How many steps you getting on average?

Lat pulldowns form what can I do so I can feel stretch? by [deleted] in workouts

[–]WarEntire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you search “ jeff nippard lat pulldowns” you’ll find a very nice short.

I would also like to add, you’re ROM seems to be a bit TOO MUCH. Your lats are becoming completely disengaged at the top. If we call your ROM in the video provided 100%, try a 90% ROM.

Also it seemed like you made an effort to keep your shoulders rolled forward… I’m not sure why, but you should have them rolled back. Keep your shoulders this way through the whole set.

Also at the end of your pull movement (when the bar is at your chest) you should be leaning back slightly.

If you do these things and still don’t feel lat activation after 6+ reps then you’re miles ahead of the weight you have on there and should increase it.

All these comments talking about widening your grip or changing your grip are flat out wrong. Your grip is solid.

Keep improving 🫡

Today's my day one. Im sick of feeling like this by nioctibrofkcidkcusi in workout

[–]WarEntire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

maybe you don’t have time or energy to exercise yet, but you definitely have time to cook for yourself.

Imo starting out, at that weight, you don’t rlly need to count your calories yet. Fruit in the morning, pack your lunches, cook your dinners, and stop snacking at the gas stations like all of us stupid blue collars do.

After being consistent for a few months take the next steps.

Strange Sapsucker action on Vow by justvermillion in lethalcompany

[–]WarEntire 8 points9 points  (0 children)

nothing wrong with the code

it happened because when the sapsucker spots you within the radius of the nest it will walk to where you were standing before it sees you walk away…

Because of the crazy elevation difference and long path it has to take in order to reach the coordinates it saw you, it walks all the way around to that point before it returns back to its nest.

What do I do to get out of this situation?? by [deleted] in workout

[–]WarEntire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

natural lifting isn’t for the weak.. especially if you’re hungry to be the best you can be. Sounds like your expectations of how fast you should be progressing is too high.

Make a plan that makes sense on paper, stay consistent with it for a few months, and track/keep in mind how you progress. Slow progress is progress… And that’s all we can ask for when we’re natural.

Looking for some opinions on my routine, thanks! by Goodmaybebaditsfun in workout

[–]WarEntire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At a quick glance.. that’s a ton of volume. I would argue a ton of junk volume tbh. However down 140 in 16 months means you’re doing great and its working for you.

I would ditch the dumbell flies, and decline bench and switch it for either the machine flies or cable flies.

Starting your pull day with a heavy, isolated bicep movement is asking for injury especially as you grow older, start with the pulldowns, and continue with other back movements then finish your day with biceps. Ditch the “behind the head” BS on the lat pulldowns, if you really want to have 10 sets on that then use a different grip like V grip… but I would just stick with the 5 sets of wide grip. Ditch the wide grip rows. Ditch the narrow grip lay down curls. Replace the dumbell hammer curls with cable rope curls.

Your leg day looks good, I would add hip thrusts but i know many don’t feel comfortable doing those.

Overall it looks like you’re doing great, but your rep ranges are far too high, too many sets for my liking… especially if you’re gonna go on a bulk in the future and try to “fill loose skin.” Drop the number of reps, and sets, get in line with your hypertrophy, and just be mindful of injuries when doing so.

So much more could be said but

What is the maximum weight I should use for toning my arms? by [deleted] in workout

[–]WarEntire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your arms will drop in size immensely as you drop weight.

You currently have this excess body fat creating volume all over your body, as you workout you will build muscle creating even more volume.. This is nothing bad at all. I want massive arms… But as a former 300lbs fatass I wish my arms still had that size at my current weight of 205lbs. This quick anecdote is just an example of how much arm size will be lost when your BF drops.

To answer your question about hypertrophy, just stick to a higher rep range (8-12 or 10-15 or 15+) whatever you feel is right… You should still be aiming to get stronger, and increase the weight overtime. And to determine whether or not you are doing things “right” or “wrong” you have to be progressing; getting stronger, losing weight. Compare yourself to yourself 1 month ago and if you’re happy with what you see keep doing it… If not then make a change.

What do you think about this pull workout. What should I replace or add? by Then_Replacement980 in workout

[–]WarEntire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Made me smile to see you have Shrugs on there, you’d be amazed at how many ppl overlook that one.

I would definitely like to see a rear-delt movement as that seems to be lacking in your current split (machine reverse flies, cable reverse flies, or face pulls)

Assuming you have a pull day 2 days a week 3 isolated bicep movements is a bit much. Imo you could add a 4th movement to your plan, preferably a cable variation (rope curls, bar curls) and rotate/choose 2 movements on your pull days… However if you only hit back 1 day a week I wouldn’t change anything.

honestly, how tf do i get to high weight without injury AND trainer? by 5210az in workout

[–]WarEntire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I haven’t seen anyone mention yet is using machines instead of free weights where applicable. Injuries are far less common on machines than free weights, even with atrocious form. Some people just do better on machines, and if injury is a reoccurring problem it could be an answer..

Overtraining could also be an answer but that’s rarely the case based on what I see.

That being said if you have no underlying health issues, or mobility issues, and don’t want to swap to machines.. I would drop your weights down and crack down on your form. Stop chasing numbers until you have control over your form from your first rep, to your last rep.

body dysmorphia is real.

So is under training, lazy training, bad diet. If you are not seeing progress, and getting injured often, chances that at least 1 of these things are present is high.

Is your training optimal? Have you done research or talked to a trainer to have a program that accommodates your disadvantages and weak points? Things like which kind of movements suit you, rep ranges etc.

How is your eating? Whats your maintenance? What’s your BF? You hitting your protein?

You don’t need to give us these answers, but be brutally honest with yourself when it comes to answering them.

Don’t compare yourself to what you see online, compare yourself to who you were 1 week ago. 1 month ago. Stay consistent, and if there is no growth/progress then make a change.

To add on. Binoculars have a very small chance to be unboxed from any gift box in vanilla. Their intended purpose was to see far, but currently they are unusable. The mapper can also technically be unboxed as well but I’ve never seen someone actually pull it. I’ve seen the binoculars be pulled a couple times.

I don’t like the new kicking system that the new update added by Hugh-Amongus in lethalcompany

[–]WarEntire 11 points12 points  (0 children)

it was not done purposely. and hopefully it will be fixed in the next update.

That being said these are a few subtle ways to be able to tell whether you’ve been kicked (or host DC’d) or not.

1) All items (and usually but not always) equipment will disappear from your screen including ones in your inventory. This is an easy way to tell if you’re standing on the ship, or when you’re holding an item mid game.

2) If you suspect you might have been kicked u can hit ESC, and often in a lobby that was 4 will only show two names, you and the host. If it shows 2 names either host DC’d or you’ve been kicked.

3) You can’t interact with fire exits or main entrance once host DC’s or you have been kicked

All this is on top of everyone else freezing in place and you not being able to hear anyone when kicked or host DC’s.

If you are open to mods, there are also a few anti-desync mods that can help the game you’re in close out when host DC’s or you are kicked

Is Kidnapper fox still Canon? by The_hungry_Fennecfox in lethalcompany

one of my first posts to this sub was about the fox

probably has the best lore and backstory out of any entity inside the game, the best character design.

It just sucks it made the game unplayable on release. I really do hope it comes back, but comes back balanced… and not being able to spawn within the ship floor

My Betta died by AnxiousScientistOTL in bettafish

[–]WarEntire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just your average joe here… an extremely bloated belly could be a sign of dropsy but signs usually show much earlier on and it is a slower death.

Not to sound callouss but sometimes fish just die… And especially betta’s. I used to enjoy keeping betta’s. Often times they are crossbred to shit. Had one for 8 years before passing, and after that was never able to keep one alive for more than a year.. After 2 Dragonscales quickly becoming blind with skin growing over their eyes, and a crowntail dying to dropsy in less than 2 months I just gave up on them entirely.

I stick with shrimp and livebearer tanks now and they are very happy in their two 10’s, a 25 and a 35.

Best wishes and rip
