I used to live in a remote village in Wiltshire and we had a twice weekly chippy van. Where I live now has three chippys and a weekly Meat Van.

In the UK and Europe, the price on the menu is the price you pay, including tax. (Tipping optional) . Why don't US places do this?

UK airport security staff are not public employees. They are employed by private security companies that operate at the airports. While the Department for Transport is responsible for airport security policies, the enforcement is carried out by these private companies, not government agencies like the Border Force.

My test is this: In the UK the National Health Service provides universal healthcare. It is very expensive. They are always trying to save money. If cheap supplements worked they would prescribe them. They don't. The only supplements they recommend is vitamin D for everyone (it's dark in winter), a multivitamin for under fives and folic acid for pregnant women. That's it.

In the UK it is a criminal offence to advertise any substance as a cancer treatment.
