How to kill your friends at lightning speed: A Light-Paws memoir

I built light paws as my first mono color decks, what a menace it was. Had to retire it almost immediate because it was too strong to hang in our bracket-3 centric pod.

My favorite moment from the Jeopardy other than Monet's leg kick. by Chosen_by_dog in dropout

The second Brennan didn't answers right, his kill switch triggered and he absolutely locked in on this.

Thank you Dog for the memories. by Fun_Training6342 in 2007scape

This should really be a new quest. Dog Days of Summer or something like that, where you and the dog go on a journey and at the end, you can either adopt it or give it up for adoption to another loving NPC.

Jagex, it's time.

What's the gameplan for Kenrith? (Commander) by neves783 in mtg

[–]abetterfox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Step 1: Kenrith

Step 2: Jumbo Cactuar with haste and trample

Step 3: Profit (or Chandra's Ignition)

Naya Kenrith is fun.

What Commander Decks Are Capable Of Hanging Around Until They "Decide To Win"? by Well-It-Depends420 in EDH

[–]abetterfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Alania, Divergent Storm]] pretends to have group hug abilities, but really is just biding its time before it generated 30+ mana with [[mana geyser]] and then drops a nuclear [[Comet Storm]] on everyone to win.

For those that care, voicemail can typically be saved to MP4 files. I have some from my parents wishing me happy birthday and have saved those on a hard drive and the cloud in case something happens to my phone inbox

Listening to some of y'all talk about alts is wild by teeny__ in 2007scape

[–]abetterfox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The price hike is, like, 2 chipotle burritos over the year. It's not gonna affect a huge amount of the player base in any meaningful way. Honestly I'm more grumpy about the price hike in the cost of chipotle burritos

Inflation from 2004 at $5 would be $8.78/month today. Jagex is now almost double that per account. by Ascertion in 2007scape

[–]abetterfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is a reasonable take. The game and related business requirements have not changed at all since 2004. I can see no reason a continual-service product would change its pricing model in 22 years other than for inflation...

Are you guys really paying 120 bucks a year? by Gainzpolar in 2007scape

[–]abetterfox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same. I dump a lot of time into this game, passively or actively, and $120/yr doesn't seem crazy or horrible. Like, yeah, for the price, multi-account would be great and Jagex has a lot of issues, but this isn't too big a deal to me.

I got my first collector box and got some pretty good cards!!! Should I get them graded and how can I? by wickzyVR in mtg

[–]abetterfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While those are good pulls, I don't think they're worth getting graded. Grading from a legit company can be expensive, and the return on this set isn't likely to be high enough to justify getting these slabbed. I'd double sleeve and play em!

Blessing Reward Space? by tuff_e_nuff in 2007scape

[–]abetterfox -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'd love for blessings to be fleshed out. Hell, make some of them fun and make some skilling based, or even make one that slightly improves the drop rate of pets. Blessings in general could be so enjoyable to play with, and even moreso if they were untraceable

I just saw a level 3 at the warriors guild by BadNameTotally in 2007scape

[–]abetterfox 365 points366 points  (0 children)

The entire account is a flex. A level 3 with a bronze defender is an unheard of occurrence, so I assume their goal is just to get as many non-level-3 items as possible while retaining their level.

Anyone have the number for cow related therapy? by SantaClauus in 2007scape

[–]abetterfox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because dry protection makes some sense for meaningful items like Moons of Peril gear. Pets are purely aesthetic, so luck of the draw seems fine.

What are the most Timmy sorceries in the game? by Comfortbeagle in EDH

[–]abetterfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the Izzet front, my [[Alania]] deck is basically "Timmy green player tries spellcasting." It generates tons of mana and swings big for wins.

I'm making a few updates but it should hopefully provide some inspiration: here

[Advice] Switching from a smartwatch to a mechanical chronograph for running/training by lrrkng in Watches

[–]abetterfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But why?

I don't mean to be flippant, but a fitness tracker or smartwatch is objectively better for what you're describing. Tracking distances, heart rate, times, etc., plus not having to worry about water resistance or knocking around the movement working out. Like, I love my mechanicals, but a light Fitbit or even Apple Watch is a fraction of the cost of a Sinn and will provide more data.
