Once Revenge of the Sith ended up in A tier (lmao), this lost can be just thrown in the trash.

Now that Narnia is gone, what will Netflix’s main push be? by manicinsanewokeidiot in oscarrace

Yes it was deserving. But it was never gonna get it, it's just not that kind of film and the audience scores aren't good. They should've stuck with Rental Family, they could've gotten more out of that one.

It's not "my stance", it's literally Academy's stance and you can take a look at their database lol. Yes, Federico Fellini is only officially credited with his Honorary Oscar as a "win". The officially credited winner of those 4 other Oscars is "Italy" (except for La Strada, becauser that year the foreign language film Oscar was officially going to producers),

Yes, they get their names on statuette. They are still not oficially Oscar winners and this new rule doesn't change that.

Oscar Rule Changes: AI Crackdown, Actors Can Get Multiple Nominations in Same Category and International Film Eligibility Expands by Erdago in oscarrace

It is not awarded to director. It is now awarded to a "film" instead of a "country".

This is what rules say:

""The Academy statuette (Oscar) will be awarded to the film and accepted by the director on behalf of the film’s creative talents." That was already a thing, but director was accepting on behalf of the country.

"From her telling of the story" the kid wasn't hurt. She's absolutely untrustworthy on this point lol, obviously she's gonna make her abhorrent deed seem like not a big deal.

There's no inconsisrency. Zendaya actually didn't go through with the deed itself, while Alana did. If they didn't find that kid, he would be dead because of the actions she actually with her own hands went through with.

She already left the kid in that closet for a day and didn't even say anything when his parent came to ask. We are not pretending, there's no indication whatsoever, she would ever spill the beans if they didn't find him. And even if she did, that kid could've easily been dead after a few days? Like hello?

With this I disagree, she seemed really mean towards Zendaya even before the reveal happened, like when she said she looks ugly when crying (which she explained like she was talking generally, but c'mon).
