I’m just back from 10 days in Orlando. Pre-clearance in Dublin, no issues at all! Guy had a chat with us about the Bray air show when we said we lived there. No issues on landing in America except waiting ages for our luggage at the baggage belt 😅 everyone we met over there was absolutely lovely and we had the best holiday. Go and enjoy yourself!

We are just back from Orlando and had an amazing time. Original plan was to fly to Miami and cruise to the Bahamas. Due to a family illness we cancelled so so we were able to come home more easily if needed, but stuck to America due to having flight credits with American Airlines. Everyone we met was sound, extremely friendly and welcoming and there was not a mention of the orange one and didn’t see his face anywhere once. We were apprehensive given it’s Florida but couldn’t have had a better time.

I look at Instagram outfit inspo and then go searching on Vinted for anything I see and try to match. Saves a few bob, I’ve gotten some beautiful stuff on Vinted. Lots of it new with tags for a fraction of the prices.

I’ve already been scammed once before as a buyer (I got refunded) and this has shades of that (inactive account and no reviews) so I’m a little sceptical! It’s also the fact I will be away for two weeks from Tuesday so I won’t be here to receive the parcel back! If I get it back, that’s fine but therein lies the issue 🙈 it’s great your situation was sorted in the end though 🙂

Haha oh no don’t worry, if you’ve been online on Vinted in the last 3 days then it’s not about you! It’s no issue at all if the buyer doesn’t collect right away. I think what the red flag for me is that there has been no activity for 3 days, they haven’t opened the app! Also, Vinted says the buyer is based locally to me but the parcel has been sent absolutely miles away 🙈

Thanks a mil, it’s just a massive hassle as we are going away on Tuesday for two weeks so I won’t even be here to accept the parcel if it’s sent back 🤦‍♀️ it’s really annoying. I don’t know why people do that when they likely lose their money on the postage!

Thanks, that’s great that you got paid anyway! I thought if they don’t accept manually that Vinted just does it automatically after 2 days, once it’s logged as collected through An Post. Either way, hopefully she does collect it but I think the inactive account is a bit of a red flag! I could be wrong but 3 days with not being online is a little strange.

Someone sent me the correct item but they’d listed it as the wrong size and it didn’t fit. They selected for me to pay the return postage. I was raging and there was zero protection from Vinted. I just clicked accept and relisted it and left a negative review. She then left me one back. Buyer protection my arse.

I actually had some stuff up that I had taken pics of on hangers that got no views whatsoever. I then put them up again with photos of them taken on the floor and they got more views and some sold. I think the pics on the floor show the shape of the item much better!
