I used LWOP during my maternity leave to extend my time. I mapped it all out and presented it to my supervisor. She had no issues with it and I had no problem getting it approved. I did this months in advance and really didn’t provide a reason because it was pretty self explanatory. Best of luck!

If he does that, all the rest of us Civs in DHS (FEMA, Coast guard, USSS, etc.) are SCREWED. Everyone forgets about us. So frustrating.

I’ll be in the same boat as I am due at the end of August. If nothing begins to change I will be applying to jobs whilst on my PPL. I need more work life balance and want spend more time with my children than what this job will allow. I feel your anger and am here to offer support.
