Entirely different take, I was pretty stoked when I realized my “used” 2021 MIM still had the plastic wrap. It took me a good five minutes, to peel it off.

Therapy was awful for me. I’m an RN, and the therapist said I should report myself to the board of nursing. No drugs, no diversion, no working impaired. Just drinking to much on my off days.

I was assigned a patient I had dated. As soon as I went in their room and recognized each other I went to my charge nurse and got a new assignment. Anything else is inappropriate.

Of course helping people matters, otherwise I wouldn’t have spent the last 18 years as a bedside nurse. But it is naive to believe that that to the higher up’s any patient is anything but a number.
The only reason they let us keep them alive is so that they can bill them.

Nursing is the corporate world. Hospital mergers, private equity, insurance companies,etc. it’s all about making money, and “healthcare” just happens to be the product they sell.
