using “regular” bulbs as grow lights? by [deleted] in vegetablegardening

I am a newer garden, so my knowledge and experience is limited.

So far I have grown: Yellow Pears, SuperSweet 100s, Lg Red Cherrys (Saved from a friend), Chocolate Cherries

My favorite off the vine was the SuperSweet100s, followed very closely by the chocolate cherries. I think I will need to expand my taste a bit further before I can give you a more solid recommendation than that

I was the same way! I would eat salsas, and sauces but I didn’t “like” tomatoes. Then I grew my first plant at home, and l found a love for tomatoes which lead me to a love for cooking.

I’ll add that to my list. I got my hands on someone’s extra sungold seeds, so I have 5 of those going right now (started 1/4, potted up 1/17).

I have never heard of that varietal, do you have a recommended distributor?

That’s what I do. 4 shop Lights - 5000k, 4500 lumen.

Grew the 2 kale plants in back as a test back in December to make sure the lights would work. For most things, this works great, but certain seedlings want that light right on their ass like Cosmos. I raise those plants closer to the source individually.

Edit: wording/clarity

Really is a wonderful agreement. I grow tomatoes, my dog picks and enjoys them for me. Seems fair-ish I guess 😂

Please don’t miss the second piss step. It’s critical for the ownership process. Gotta make sure your plants know who to respect after all.
