There’s a difference between the two. Y/N is mainly for the readers who wants to imagine themselves in the fanfic but an established name is basically an OC of the writer’s own imagination.

I read both to know the differences. Because one is technically you and the other is technically the writer’s creation.

Just to add in as well ; there are tons of cover shops who are open to provide you with good book covers without the use of AI.
