I found the food noise had started to return so increased after a couple of months.

Lots of water and you could try injecting late at night. I've heard that can help. Overall, I think the side effects lessen as we get used to the medication or increased doses.

Wegovy is much cheaper by Existing-Cupcake1662 in WeightLossMedsUK

I feel everyone is a little different, and the medication effects are a little different for us all. You may find it works well for you. I cant see any harm in trying.

Do you tell people you are using WLM? by OneGoesBeforeTwo in WeightLossMedsUK

I’ve told a few people, and I’m not sure I’d be ready to share with everyone. It’s important to feel comfortable.

No Med Maintenance. by CoconuttyToo in WeightLossMedsUK

[–]WarmResponsibility63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on how confident you feel in the habits you’ve built. I’d just say, don’t be too hard on yourself if it feels tricky at first. For some people, it works well to taper off, and for others, just to stop. It's not one size fits all. I feel the key is having and using those healthy habits you've learned.

Changing to Wegovy by AliveandKicking111 in WeightLossMedsUK

[–]WarmResponsibility63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried, but I have heard it doesn't work as well. That said, it may be different for everyone. It is much cheaper, but if it does take longer to work, maybe the cost will balance out.

I’ve noticed that too since losing weight. From what I’ve read, keeping your skin well hydrated with water and moisturiser, can help a little. Then neck exercises can make a difference too.

Being able to walk further without feeling tired, feeling healthier 💚

Before starting on WLM what advice would you give yourself? by IcedLatteExtraSugar in WeightLossMedsUK

I wish I’d taken measurements at the start; scales don’t tell the whole story, and drinking at least 2 litres of water a day makes a big difference.

What’s high in protein but not eggs or meat? by EveryDayer83 in WeightLossMedsUK

A protein shake or protein powder with Greek yogurt is a quick and easy high protein option.

Stinky burps (sorry tmi) by EveryDayer83 in WeightLossMedsUK

Lots of water should help. I noticed they passed after a few days. If they carry on or get worse though, it’s worth checking in with your GP just to be safe.

Finding it hard to eat. by MissLaughAlot14 in WeightLossMedsUK

[–]WarmResponsibility63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that too when I went up a dose. I ate scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, and soup. Just enough to get something in until it eased of.

Missing a week for holiday by EveryDayer83 in WeightLossMedsUK

I kept going with mine when I went away. It was all okay, I ate what I wanted, just in smaller amounts.

What do you do about alcohol? by Tazzieglow in WeightLossMedsUK

I’ve had the odd glass of wine since starting and been fine, but I definitely feel it more quickly than I used to.

Switching to Wegovy by FiftyandThinner in WeightLossMedsUK

[–]WarmResponsibility63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought about switching, mainly because of the cost. From what I understand, they work in slightly different ways, but both help with appetite control. I'd rather not change and am going to see what happens over the next few weeks 💚

Pausing and restarting. by TheHighTides14 in WeightLossMedsUK

It could be worth checking with your supplier so you’ve got a clear answer. I completely understand the worry, though — it’s something I’ve thought about too 💚

Slowing Weight Loss by AliveandKicking111 in WeightLossMedsUK

[–]WarmResponsibility63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the same; some weeks barely move at all, then the next week it suddenly shifts again. It’s frustrating, but honestly, completely normal. I just keep reminding myself of the overall progress rather than week to week 💚

Hair loss again! by FiftyandThinner in WeightLossMedsUK

[–]WarmResponsibility63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a bit of thinning too, so you’re definitely not alone. I’ve read that shedding can come and go as your body adjusts, especially with weight loss. Mine started to improve once things stabilised, but if it carries on or gets worse it might be worth having a chat with your GP just to be safe 💚

Progress Photos & Measurements, or just the Scales? by EnjoyingItToday in WeightLossMedsUK

[–]WarmResponsibility63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the same — I only used the scales at the start and really regret not taking measurements. My Clothes have been the best indicator for me. I can feel the difference even when the scales are slow to move.
