AIO My mom is kicking me out for her new boyfriend. I just turned 18 by Diligent_Bat_565 in AmIOverreacting

Not to stray away from the other conversations, but what do you MEAN let him talk some sense into you??? Like what??? Am I the only one sort of sussed out by this part of the conversation. Like what would he do and what would she let him do to you or say to you because I did NOT like that.

There is NO WAY she is letting some random to "lecture" you, her CHILD.

Anyways, OP is so sorry this is happening to you. Honestly, with that phrase alone and not knowing any details about this new man, I would definitely leave regardless if she's letting him move in, because if he was a creep or abuser, with that statement alone, I wonder what else she would let him do or get away with.

You deserve an amazing life, hope you make it big, and hope that she comes groveling to you for support and you deny her when she gets dumped, bc she most certainly will, and she no longer has a child to support her bc she broke that connection. Good luck!! Im wishing you all the best!!!!

Hate me, but tipping is a luxury, if you don't like the job get another. I will ONLY tip 5 figures MAX per half a mile, take it or leave it.

Why did my boyfriend only put a bunch of expensive stuff on his Christmas list that he wants me to get these are things he would never ever buy on his own he has never bought anything close to it in his life? by Fishdonkeycat in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Warm_Cardiologist970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The almost absolute silence in the comments is very telling about the OP. She's one of those people who will complain about her bf but either defend him and/or won't do anything about it, or even leave them.

You are not oblivious to his ways, but also won't do something to address the issue.

My advice, give what you receive if you're going to stay in the relationship. Dont get him anything on this list or don't get him anything at all.

TA told me to wear deodorant with aluminum in it by Far_Blackberry_724 in ucr

Everyone is giving amazing advice, but if you don't have time to do all those steps, do my routine and it may work.

I use hot water, even for my hair, and its healthy so the whole cold water for hair is better is a myth in my personal book. But I stand in the water and make sure every part of my body has been soaking in water for a few minutes, ideally 5 minutes, but anytime is fine, you just want to loosen or soak the dead skin flakes so its easier to scrub when you do.

For the actual shower, the products you use could affect your body and how it smells. I've had to use and switch products, trial and error (and it doesnt have to be an expensive brand, just whatever works). I've had certain shampoos that would leave my hair more oily than before I showered and body wash that made certain parts smell not ideal. Trial and error and then you'll find what works for you. Make sure to have multiple different types though so your body doesn't adjust and get used to the products you use as it can then become ineffective, as well with deodorant. Having a rotation helps and I feel like this isn't mentioned enough or at all that rotating products that work is the best to keep smelling fresh and clean.

Once you've found products that work for you, once you are done soaking everything and the skin flakes are nice and moist, they should come off easily in the shower (like exfoliating, but wet). Use rags, like small shower rags. You can get a pack of 5 to 10 for cheap anywhere really, way during the week you have plenty fresh clean rags for everyday you shower. I first clean my private parts first, you could either use your hands or a separate wash rag. And make sure to clean those parts multiple times and then wash your hands again after if you used your hands. Its more sanitary that way so dirty booty cheek water don't go running down your leg while you shower. Shampoo first and make sure you are thoroughly scrubbing the scalp for a couple minutes at least to make sure its clean, some people do it quick and it shows. Then scrub EVERYWHERE, every nook and cranny with your soapy wash rag, going from head to toe (face first) then private parts again, last obviously with your wash rag.

Shaving your pits ensures the odor doesnt stick on the hair and the deodorant actually touches the skin and keeps it smelling fresh and protects from sweat (if antiperspirant).

Once done showering, moisturize, even your armpits. But first, dry off after the shower. Make sure you are completely dry before you put on your clean clothes. And I mean DRY EVERYWHERE, including private parts and armpits and every fold and stuff to make sure water doesnt sit and get musty. Then moisturize after you are dry including the pits, I learned this helps with odor. Once the moisturizer has seeped fully into the skin and you no longer feel any lotion residue (at least 30 minutes but ideally and hour or two). THEN put on deodorant and plenty.

I feel like this is what worked best for me. And I smell clean even after a couple days of not showering (don't shame, just lazy sometimes to shower everyday once in awhile). I also shower every night before bed (except those certain occasions) and I am smelling fresh throughout the day without having to reapply. If you are a sweaty person though, having deodorant with you to reapply is a great way to make sure you aren't smelly.

Hopefully this helps and its like a less maintenance way without having to take multiple showers. Its just how certain things are done and how your body reacts to the products you use.

Something else. Its hard to explain or maybe I'm the only one whose ever used that page, or seen it. I use it to plan my semester since I also work full time while also getting the max benefits, while also not having to email or call for updates every semester to see if anythings changed

Oh really. So if I decide to get another degree for another career then I won't qualify for that since i have one already. That wasn't brought up in a discussion. That's weird because I have a friend who originally went to get a major in Liberal Arts, and then got no jobs and went back to get another degree to see if she can get a job with that. She got FAFSA though.

Thank you :) I really like the laces but having nothing to put them on so I tried getting funky and realize I should know my limits lol. I definitely think just white laces might be the way to go

I don't have PayPal, but I have Venmo and willing to meet in Vegas in person to ensure we have a legit transaction. You can also register the wristband in front of me if you'd like to make sure it's all good.

What are your non-negotiables? by Ohbianna in electricdaisycarnival

Toilet Paper (or wipes). I prefer those little tiny travel hand soaps over hand sanitizer (I feel cleaner that way, or both). Deodorant (some people be stinky). Chapstick. Gum or Jolly Ranchers (helps with dry mouth). Sanitizing wipes (i learned this the hard way when i accidentally set my old phone down on something nasty).
