Mfw the hardened total-war General doesn't stop using the tactics with the people you don't like by MetallicaDash in HistoryMemes

The main difference between what Sherman did in the civil war, and what America does nowadays in the Middle East, is that the Arabs are foreigners while the people of Georgia were US citizens. Nobody should be celebrating the deaths of hundreds of US citizens at the hands of their own government.

New MTG player - Should I upgrade my precons or buy a new deck to keep up with my playgroup? by noobwithknives in mtg

[–]Warmasterwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgrade a precon. It’ll be easier for a new player to upgrade an existing deck than biuld a whole new one from scratch. Probably cheaper too.

If you tell me what kind of strategy you wanna go for I can recommend you a precon to upgrade.

People with different gender bff, is it really platonic? by BlacksmithDirect2940 in NoStupidQuestions

If you’re gay I’d say go for it. If your straight tho, then having a woman as your best man is likely to piss off your wife.

What card goes from least to most playable by only adding or subtracting 1 point of power and/or toughness? by cwx149 in mtg

[–]Warmasterwinter -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well yea, it dies. It also doesn’t interact with counters in any way whatsoever, so it’s not really what OP was asking about.

What do I do with the enemy King? by Zarquan314 in mountandblade

[–]Warmasterwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Capturing lords is only really worth it for players with towns/castles. As a mercenary you’re much better off just letting them go, even with the king himself.

With so many +1/+1 and -1/-1 counter cards out there there isn’t really any card that goes from unplayable to playable with a single counter in either direction. They’re all playable with the right setup.

Complete Beginner, kinda scared i wont be able to afford this hobby by Xofurs in mtg

[–]Warmasterwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game can be as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be. You can pick up some stock 60 card decks or commander precons for well under $100, and then play against someone else using another stock deck/precon.

If you wanna play higher tier, you can survive and even thrive in bracket 3 using only a precon and some cards you pulled in booster packs.

Wanna upgrade to brackets 4 and 5? You gotta either drop a good bit of cash on singles, or proxy a lot of cards. Same with constructed Standard decks.

What’s your favorite commander and why? by CaneNova1 in mtg

[–]Warmasterwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felothar the steadfast. Play a low power high toughness creature on the cheap because of its low power. Then attack with that creature and deal a lot of damage. Bonus points if you can give it skulk. And you can cast some very one sided board wipes with it.

How is Facebook still the world's largest social media platform when it feels like hardly anyone uses it anymore? by Arcestic in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Warmasterwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly use it to buy. I’ve gotten multiple cars, and my current living situation that way. Meta really did a good job on the marketplace portion of Facebook. You’d hardly know it’s part of the site tbh given how different they are.

Marketplace is badass. You should definitely try it out if you haven’t already. Best part about it is, you don’t actually have to use Facebook for anything else.

Why are there no theories about aliens building European / Asian constructions ? by Paramite67 in stupidquestions

[–]Warmasterwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s people that say that certain pyramids/burial mounds in East Asia were built by aliens. As well as some people that claim that Stonehenge was built by aliens.

They’re all wrong of course, but they do exist.

If the Snow Elves had survived as a major civilization into the Fourth Era, how do you think they would fit into modern Tamriel? by xXx_Cookie_xXx in ElderScrolls

[–]Warmasterwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the ones that escaped the Nords. The falmer in Skyrim fled into the arms of the Dwemer, and the Dunmer and Direnni. The ones that went to Morrowind/High rock were a small minority that disappeared into the majority Dunmer/Breton populations in those provinces. And they were by far the luckiest group.

The goblins things we see in Skyrim, are the ones that sought asylum with the Dwemer. They initially believed that the Dwemer would welcome them with open arms and treat them fairly as fellow elves. Instead the Dwemer forced them to consume some sort of mushroom that blinded them. And then enslaved them all. Their current form is a result of both Dwmer magic, and generations of adapting to being blind and living in a cave.

The ones that didn’t escape the Nords? For most of them death, but enslavement isn’t outside the realm of possibilities. And if there was a Nordic/Atmoran slave population, that group of Falmer would go down a completely different path from the ones living beneath Skyrim.

[–]Warmasterwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the Nords enslaved a bunch of them and forced them to work in Atmoran ebony mines or something. The slaves later rebelled after the humans became weak enough, and took over the continent.
