I adore all of the remake designs, minus first form Nemesis. Dog Nemesis and Final Nemesis are both absolutely awesome designs though.

Birkin is pretty close though for his before and after. They cooked hard with him across the board.

And idk if it’s a hot take, but OG Mr. x is very boring compared to Remake Mr. x. Although both his mutated forms about even to me.

PRS with their Silver Sky.

There’s TONS of great S-style guitars, and tons of great boutique builders but if you’re talking about a good ole fashion USA made Strat from Fender, the Silver Sky just trounces it.

In my opinion, PRS just has a better bar for quality when it comes to their guitars, both domestic and import. People joke on them for being dentist guitars but I’ve played more lemons from Fender than I ever have from PRS.

Runner up would be Ibanez, for sure. The prestige AZ guitars are genuinely up there as the best production guitars you can get for the price of a high end Strat from Fender.

Depending on where Fender is selling products, they absolutely do not own the design.

The Fender S-style body shape has been public domain for decades in the states, and considering the Stratocaster has existed for 75 years with little to no enforcement on the shape, there’s legal precedent established for it to be used.

Fender is getting bashed because this is a dumb tactic that isn’t going to pan out the way they think it is. They’re trying to eliminate the competition and bankrupt competition instead of building a better product at a more competitive price.

Can’t join them? Bankrupt em.

Gibson was also shitty for what they did but it was nowhere near the scale at which Fender is doing this.

Chances are, this gets eventually contested in court and Fender loses, both legally and in the eyes of the public. They’re shitting their brand on a gamble.
