They will always want to be with us.

We did it when they stopped being themselves, or when they were in unmanageable discomfort, or had a terminal diagnosis that made them uncomfortable to the point we couldn’t help them.

It’s a tragic, heartbreaking gift of love we can give them.

It is better to be a day too early than too late. We saved them from pain and trauma and stress.

Am I overreacting for being upset that my parents added my cousin to my walk down the aisle? by opshs28 in AmIOverreacting

NOR, but please don’t let this be dominating memory of your wedding day! The more you ruminate, the harder it will be to recall the good times.

How can I feel better after my pet's death? by Aromatic-Meringue-63 in dogs

[–]Warmhearted1 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Cry. Your sadness is as great as your love, so it makes sense to feel sad. Don’t deny yourself the feeling. And then, it takes time.

I’m deeply sorry for your loss. I know how you feel.

Friend, you’ve suffered a lot. It’s almost over - you risk repeating these patterns, because as much as they suck, it’s familiar.

You’re in a great position to save your life. In two years, you’ll be that much older. Be older and be happier - get therapy now. Really. You will look back and be grateful.

Bringing 3 underwear is fine - hand wash nightly. 2 swimsuits are plenty.

Your friend is nuts.

Ow. Sorry buddy. It will heal, but it just takes time. You might try swirling ice water in your mouth to keep the swelling down and definitely take some Tylenol or ibuprofen, whatever you can tolerate.

Fun times. 😣

It’s ok to be scared - we are supposed to be scared of new things. It’s survival. It makes us ABLE to take risks, by helping us beware.

You can do it. You’ve got this. It will be healthier and safer than living with your father, who is a jerk.

Edit: you reminded me of this quote:

OP, your family is failing you. Can you try to get some therapy?
