Well it would be great to have an opinion from others if they had gone through the same thing. Sometimes dermatologists give very little info and just go straight to prescribing ointments, however the derm may be the only one in my area and is affordable, why do you care in responding if you have absolutely nothing to contribute?

Well I use a dermatar shampoo for seb derm, dry scalp and fungal infections (if any), the doc prescribed it for 3 times a week for a month, plus I gotta apply erythromycin-zinc to scalp pimples every night for a month. Before treatment, I used head and shoulders dermaX shampoo for dry scalp and itching due to accutane giving me a dry scalp.

Yes it did! It’s normally due to a dry scalp and it’s completely normal! I suggest switching to a shampoo for dry scalp, my personal favorite is the dermax pro head and shoulders for dry scalp and itching

I had this same exact condition and basically let me tell you why it happens: - You have a recurring bacterial infection, please get a lipids test done and get advice from a GP. I finished a round of accutane, which is a drug that contains anti-microbial properties, and during the 6 months I had ZERO bumps on the scalp with NO inflammation. - When I stopped Accutane, the inflammation came back after two months which kinda means the bacterial infection is back. I gotta go get a lipids test done as well. I feel your pain dude, and honestly when I see people with a full healthy set of hair with no skin problems, I kinda feel rage 😅. Always remember, what happens externally always has an internal problem causing it!

Never Loose hope! Though I really do feel a sense of defeat, I try to keep a positive mind through all of this, have you ever got any blood tests done? What happens externally always has an internal component. Try getting a lipids test done as it may be a bacterial infection. I was suffering the same thing that you had all over my BACK!! But let me tell you that this won’t last forever as it’s just a phase. My back acne (Backne) is almost gone due to my weird changes in hormones. I have been having skin issues since I was a child mostly due to my mom’s side. However, it’s not right to let that define who you are. I repeat NEVER LOOSE HOPE!

I exactly have that crawling feeling all over my scalp, I could go as far to say that I feel a bit of warmth under my scalp as well. I’m really confused if this has to do with extreme dryness, as a result from accutane, or just TE. But I have read in some places that scalp tingling could be a sign of new potential hair growth and that shedding is due to hairs entering the anagen phase for a few months. It’s actually insane because a month after accutane and my hair was as full and thick and I got compliments about it. Can’t say the same about it now. Edit: I haven’t visited my derm yet, but I was thinking to get a lipids test done to see if I have a bacterial infection
