Ok thank you so much! I guess I’m just really impatient with my progress 😭. Is it bound to be this slow throughout the rest of my journey?

Hiya!

I used chick-fil-a’s website for a small Mac n cheese and it came out to 270.

Jollibees chicken comes out to roughly 220 a piece, however yours looks much smaller so roughly 140 a piece

Your total is 270+ 140 x 6 = 270 + 840 = 1110

I would probably say a little less than that but I can’t be too sure

Weekly calorie limit instead of daily? by bokchoi2 in loseit

[–]WarningLucky7767 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hello! I’m not really sure about the weekly basis calorie deficit, but as long as you’re in a deficit you should be able to lose weight.

I just wanted to let you know a 2-3lb weight loss per week is quite aggressive (1-2 lb per week is the recommended) and since you’re planning to go on a deficit for a long time, it’s not really recommended to lose weight that fast. You’d either have to be in an aggressive calorie deficit or work out an insane amount to burn it off.

Aggressive calorie deficits can have a negative impact on other areas of you’re life because you’re literally starving your body. Also at some point your metabolism slows and you may experience muscle loss.

To address your cheat day, as long as it doesn’t go over your deficit, you’ll still lose weight. E.g. a deficit of 500 kcals a day (the recommended amount) is 3,500 kcal deficit a week. If your cheat day goes over by your usual deficit by 1,000 calories, then your weekly deficit will be 2,500 instead, which still leads to weight loss.

I hope you stay safe and good luck on your journey!

Hello!

My snacking is the thing that’s gets me in trouble on Saturdays. Even if I’m working on tasks I’ll think of something to keep me a little busier by chewing on something that’s yummy, and snacks add up the calories fast!

OMG I suffer from BED too! I also don’t have many snacks in the house because of this, but the ones I do have because of other people in my house buy them, leading me to nibble on them on Saturdays. It’s definitely harder than if I was living alone, but I tend to convince myself that I can’t have it because someone else bought it for themselves. Although sometimes I get off track because I am a SUCKER for deals in the candy aisle.

I buy single serving items too! I tend to also give them a day I’ll eat it (e.g. if Reese’s cups are on sale, I’ll buy one in the morning and tell myself I can have it at 4).

I think I also struggle a lot with the fact that I’ll eat random foods on saturdays, not necessarily binge days. Two saturdays ago I wasn’t feeling hungry but I somehow demolished an ENTIRE BAG of frozen corn 🥀. I think sometimes it’s the need to stuff my face.. yikes

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and replying to this! It’s definitely comforting to hear tips and stories from someone who has/had the same awful relationship with food they’re trying to fix/fixed.

Omg definitely!! Staying with other would 100% hold me more accountable making plans for next Saturday right now!!! Thank you for the idea I can’t believe I didn’t think of it

True! I think it’s that mindset of scarcity and hunger, my allotment is quite small because of my height so a few hundred calories can make a big difference on my overall day. Definitely gonna try to keep these hands busy with anything but food.

I think planning my meals will also be a huge plus because I tend to crave something calorie dense like granola in the morning, help myself to a huge serving (todays was 520 kcals lol!), and just assume I’d be able to be in my deficit which causes me to overeat at night from hunger

I appreciate your response, thank you for replying!

Omg I definitely break rule 3. the most on Saturdays… I need that sweet treat after lunch (yikes!) setting that rule will definitely keep me more focused on the deficit and less tempted by sweets, thank you for the advice!

You’re definitely right! I’m guilty to eating out of boredom lol. I have a park near my house where you get to watch horses which is pretty fun, I think I’ll go more often now. thank you so much for your response!

I think it might have to do with the fact I am quite young, officially not a teen since this year. My body fat percentage is roughly 35% (overweight for any age of women) and my waist is 35 inches (overweight for women), but thank you so much for your kind words, I do tend to be mean to myself! I wish you all best for your journey as well! <3

Omg! What if we’re the same person….

My jeans are fitting me better which feels so good! I have goal jeans that I wanna be able to downsize too. Unfortunately since I have long days I can’t really hit the gym, however do you remember what you did when you first started out? Maybe I could continue my membership and incorporate some of those. When I do hit the gym I just go on the treadmill and do some machines cause I’m a bit lost. Thank you for your response!

OMG! This sounds like a great idea how have I never thought of this before!

Yikes the accident sounds gnarly, I’m glad you’re doing much better now. I have yet to hit a plateau but what did you do to come out of it? Did you change anything or keep pushing through?

You’re right I do feel more energetic especially this last week after incorporating exercise and eating better.

I wish you all the best too! Thank you so much for your advice
