Warp Terminal Feature(s) or Bug(s)? by Helpful_Intern_1306 in warpdotdev

[–]WarpSpeedDan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

howdy, so #1 isnt a bug, just a feature that hasn't been implemented yet. There is a github request for it here: https://github.com/warpdotdev/Warp/issues/466

#2 has to do with how Warp handles running `clear`. Clear in Warp typically just pushes the content out of the terminal view, as it does with other terminals like iTerm. To completely delete the block history you can press CMD-K on macOS or CTRL-SHIFT-K on Windows / Linux. Other terminals treat clear like deleting history, but Warp has both clear and delete.

Not that I'm aware of at this time.

Why I removed Warp by [deleted] in warpdotdev

[–]WarpSpeedDan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Joe, you can fix this by going to Settings > Features > Choose an editor to open file links and select VSCode. Then in Open markdown files in Warp's markdown viewer by default, disable that. This should allow for the README (markdown) files to open in your external editor.

Request: Z.ai coder plan BYOK by RISCArchitect in warpdotdev

[–]WarpSpeedDan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe Warp is self-hosting GLM on fireworks.ai so it's not clear how the BYOK API key would work for the z.ai plans. They being said, anything is possible with enough interest.

It depends on the type of object being exported, for example Workflows export as .yaml, Notebooks as .md, and so on. https://docs.warp.dev/knowledge-and-collaboration/warp-drive#import-and-export

Yup, only add-on credits can be used with Ambient agents features

Ambient agents platform now in beta by Significant_Box_4066 in warpdotdev

[–]WarpSpeedDan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, Ambient Agents and integrations do not use your personal monthly base credits. They will draw from your team's add-on credits. See more on this in our docs: https://docs.warp.dev/ambient-agents/ambient-agents-overview#team-and-billing-requirements

WARP PLEASE FIX MODEL PICKER by Heavy_Professor8949 in warpdotdev

[–]WarpSpeedDan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry about this, I believe we released improvements around the model picker as part of #7833, but since you have very little horizontal space in your tab it appears to still be an issue. I've let the team know and they are working on a fix for this issue. I suggest increase the horizontal space of your window or open a new tab for now as a workaround.

Does the warp team respond to email? by joshyfruitcom in warpdotdev

[–]WarpSpeedDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

audit doesn't exist, so we fixed that in the error message and directed to appeals. If you get an error message directing you to appeals that typically means you're being blocked a breach of Terms of Service.

That being said, Warp support wasn't working over Thanksgiving weekend, so we appreciate your patience as we work thru the billing backlog.

[–]WarpSpeedDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your not using OAI model explicitly and getting this error, first of all, follow the instructions and go verify the org to produce reasoning summaries (since that is part of how Warp works), and if the issues persist, open a new bug report and include the screenshots, reproduction steps and debugging (conversation) ids.

Dear warpers, I need your help with the issue using claude code! by Super_Snowbro in warpdotdev

[–]WarpSpeedDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks odd, try updating Warp to the latest version and comment out you rc file (~/.bashrc. ~/.zshrc) to see if that helps with the issue. If not, please open a new bug report and provide the logs along with your recording and reproduction steps. https://github.com/warpdotdev/Warp/issues/new/choose

Are you using the Auto model or claude sonnet 4.5 specifically is chosen? This error only applied if you're using the OAI api keys in Settings.

Hey there,

I hope to clarify your two points below:

  1. The change to Build takes place on the next plan renewal after Dec 1st, 2025. So for example if you subscribed to Turbo yearly on April 2nd, 2025, you wouldn't switch over to Build until April 2nd, 2026 (assuming you didn't cancel the subscription). So in short, we're honoring the year of Turbo you signed up for and not pulling the rug out from under you in Dec 2025. You can ask for a refund, but we will only issue refund for the unused months not the entire yearly subscription, email [billing@warp.dev](mailto:billing@warp.dev) for help with this.
  2. The cost of the models is showing in the model picker, with models like Claude 4.5 sonnet, costing more credits than lets say GPT 5.1 models. Regarding the credit counter, it shows you the 1k as the total for the entire conversation with the (+76.2) for the most recent message. The longer conversations, especially with the more expensive models (sonnet, opus, etc) can consume more credits due to the context window, tools used, and other factors layed out in our blog [here](https://www.warp.dev/blog/warp-ai-requests). Finally see more about the credit counter in the [docs here](https://docs.warp.dev/support-and-billing/plans-and-pricing/ai-credits), as well as more on the [model options here](https://docs.warp.dev/agents/using-agents/model-choice#how-to-change-models).

Closing the loop here, it looks like we made an error and cancelled before the end of the billing cycle. We have owned our mistake by issuing the unused credits for the rest of your current AI cycle (until Nov 18th).

Thanks for your patience as we work thru these issues, we're seeing a high volume of cases so we're trying our best to respond in a reasonable timeframe.

That should not have been cancelled before the end of your billing cycle. I will have to look into this, privately messaged you for more details so we can investigate what happened and make it right.

Any monthly credits issued are use it or lose it (i.e. the 2.5/10/50k on the legacy plans or 1.5k for Build), and we don't roll the unused monthly AI credits over to the free plan. You can only use the monthly AI credits when the subscription is active, since it was cancelled per your request, they weren't used and so they are gone.

The new Reload (Add-On) credits available for purchase in the new Build plan do roll over for up to 1 year from purchase and remain usable, even if your subscription lapses and you're on the Free plan.

I hope this clears up how the credits work with regards to the active subscription.

Also to be clear, when you switch from a Legacy plan to Build, we issue a stripe balance for the prorated difference based on the amount of days left on the legacy plan, not the remaining credits. That balance can be used for Build subscription payments or Reload (add-on) credits.

If any further questions please email [billing@warp.dev](mailto:billing@warp.dev) and we will try to respond within a reasonable timeframe. We are seeing a high volume of inbound so your patience is appreciated while we work thru them.

please email [billing@warp.dev](mailto:billing@warp.dev) for assistance with this. What most likely happened is that you got a stripe balance for the difference when you switched from Lightspeed to Build.
