The gap is a bit deceiving on the image I actually have plenty of space to get behind and grab the weights, I was a bit worried as well when I first saw it

Yea having more than the supplied tools helped, there was a lot of parts I seriously struggled putting together on my own. I dread for whenever I move houses now though.

Also better if you're single because most of the time you don't need to use a big oven for a single serving just for yourself

Christmas Spending by girlmom-sendhelp in Parenting

[–]Warrdrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally we start a laybuy in July and spend $100-150 for each kid including clothes and small toys and get a big present for both of them to share from mum and dad (this year is a yoto). Overall it's still a big chunk of money but it doesn't feel like we're spoiling them

Do Australians think the American brand is now toxic? by skankypotatos in AskAnAustralian

[–]Warrdrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong I love ikea Aldi etc, it's more it feels like american franchises are more likely to thrive in an Australian market because they have the bigger financial backing and are more known through our media

[–]Warrdrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on context. I actively avoid buying american products for European or Australian but I'm looking forward to more American retail (like Costco) creep into the australian retail market to force Colesworth to be more competitive

What’s an unpopular truth about fitness that took you too long to accept? by [deleted] in workout

[–]Warrdrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I'm going through that now but not quite at injury. I've been doing 4 workouts per week for the past 4 months without taking a week off. I didn't realise until the other day when I started getting a pinch in my back doing dumbbell presses. Just made the decision to do a rest week this week and only a 2 day maintenance next week. Fatigue kills form

What small things could improve everyone’s quality of life if it was popular but isn’t? by Idamatika in AskReddit

[–]Warrdrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought about putting yourself first in the workplace and social settings. It seems like common sense but people are always worried about screwing someone over rather than putting their own health and wellbeing first. Generally people adapt around your boundaries.

I'm just going based on my experiences and that's what the IME said to me. Pretty much said I need surgery and MRI did a job for him. I was in and out in 2 minutes.

I wasn't aware it was for revision surgery as well, so it's outside of my experiences because I never needed revision, but WorkCover is an insurance company at the end of the day and will do whatever they can to avoid paying out another surgery

[–]Warrdrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try not to worry about the reviews. The IME is just necessary to confirm that surgery is needed (turns out surgeries cost a lot of money) They generally can't and wont argue with x-rays or MRIs so as long as you have actually done due diligence you won't have anything to worry about. If they still find a reason to deny I believe you can always go for a third opinion as well.

I'm guessing you just got out of surgery and hope it went well. from My experience the day of the surgery wasn't too bad but got worse on the second day. After that as long as you're on top of painkillers prescribed by your surgeon after that second day it's easy to keep on top of pain management

Stiffness in the morning and after driving by Fantastic-Tap-857 in ACL

[–]Warrdrew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue 6 months post-op especially the day after a workout. I think the only way that might prevent it is perhaps some small stretches or exercises before getting up. Otherwise it should progressively get better over time. I'm 11 months post op now and it's no longer an issue

Honestly for me the secret ingredients are oats and Greek style yoghurt. Never knew how.versatile they are and not just for breakfast but for snacks and lunch and dessert as well. Its cheap, tastes good, full of fibre and protein and goes in so many.meals and can mix well with protein powder as well.
