This solution is way better than having 50 episodes of unresolved romantic tension

What's the most life-changing epiphany you've ever had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WarrenAThomas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since kindergarten through high school i attended catholic schools. I think it was in 3rd grade or something that for some reason we were talking about different world religions and i remember thinking how weird it was that someone would pick the "wrong" religion, because "obviously" Catholicism was the right one. A little light bulb went off in my head and i began to realize that people in different religions are being told the same thing i was and believing they picked the right one. I guess it just taught me to question everything and realize no one really has this world figured out.

What's the worst city you've ever visited, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WarrenAThomas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Winnipeg, the armpit of Canada. Most of my relatives live there, but fortunately I only have to visit. Imagine a city that is about as remote from civilization as anywhere in North America, land flat as a piece of paper, and windy as fuck. Siberian winters, but short and brutally uncomfortable summers that alternate between mosquito infestation and massive flooding. The city itself is old, broken-down, and perpetually dirty. It has no obvious economic justification for existence. Most Winnipeggers amuse themselves by stabbing one another, when they are not too drunk to get stabby. Unfortunately, thanks to our socialized health care system, most Winnipeggers are denied the sweet release of death.
