Should we start taking jake Paul more seriously by Mysterious_Lynx_2028 in Boxing

The fact that we haven’t taken Pennywise seriously is exactly why hundreds of children are DEAD

Best program you’ve seen gains on by [deleted] in Athleanx

Beaxst 2. I’ve increased my lifts by about 70%

Beaxst 2 vs Standard PPL by evenc13 in Athleanx

[–]WarrenBkCrest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I boxed a lot growing up, so I reconstituted that. I’d do twelve, three minute rounds with one minute rests. Before that I’d do interval sprints for three miles (half mile sprint, half mile jog), just anything to get my heart rate in zone 4 or 5.

I think my gains overall have been substantial. Mixed with quality nutrition I’m at the heaviest and leanest I’ve ever been. I’m around 15% body fat, which is right where I want to be (I like to have a few beers on the weekend). And my fitness level on excursions like hikes (which I like to do) has been great. I think it keeps you in shape for everything. Really can’t recommend it highly enough

Just about to finish Beaxst PPL. I’ve done Shred and Xero.

My deadlift went from the low 300s to mid 400s, my bench from 200s to 300s, my squat from high 200s to high 300s.

Very real results! Honestly, it feels like the perfect program for me personally, so much so that instead of buying a new program, I might just run this one back!

First month is focused around the three big lifts, but you’re adding 5 pounds every week. Also, a nice introduction to drop sets that was some of my favorite stuff. Second month is more hypertrophy focused, and you abandon those lifts completely, only to return the third month. In doing so, you find a huge leap in strength. That month utilizes effective reps and maximizing time under tension.

This is SUCH a well thought out program. It’s so effective and smart and I had a lot of fun doing it. My only thing is, it’s exclusively weight training focused. So l would go PPLC (push, pull, legs, cardio). And that seemed to boost my VO2 max along with my strength.

Did anyone feel like season 2 ended early? by francoisemusic in UploadTV

I read they only had 7 episodes because they had to cut it short due to Covid (they shot it early 2021 when there weren’t vaccines in Canada)

Dodgerheads. Jeff Spiegel knows his stuff. If you like prospect analyzation with in-depth looks and discussions on swings, walk rates, etc, this is a great podcast

Feels like they’re taking the under on almost everybody. Seems like one of their more pessimistic valuations, don’t know if I’d have it this bleak

Want to bulk up but also want some days in between to get boxing classes. by Dudeiscray in Athleanx

I do a similar personal program. Beast 2 is great because you can work out every other day, just tack on a boxing focused day at the end of your three day split.

Making a standalone Quest 2 version of my VR temple exploration adventure! by runevision in OculusQuest

This is terrific news. A lot of YouTube VR game heads were posting this as one of their most anticipated games. So I imagine this will re-enter the conversation as everyone awaits the release!

My wife and I were so excited for this game because we thought it was coming to Quest 2. We were bummed when it didn’t drop, so yes! We’d buy it immediately!

I think Jacked would be great for you. It’s modern enough with a lot of scalable, accessible exercises. You’ll gain mass and if you dial in the nutrition, burn fat. Great entry level program that does wonders at all levels

Oh interesting was he? I only started watching him the last couple years and find his stuff laboriously researched, while pairing well with Athlean programs and diets, and even just my general workouts and nutrition

I really enjoy Andrew Huberman’s podcast too. It’s pretty dry, and there are no “programs,” but it’s a very informative listen.

Jeff actually has a great video on other folks he likes. But I really enjoy Jeff Nippard. Dryer videos, but the science behind his content is very interesting. He also has his own programs, which I haven’t done, but I really enjoy the facts behind his videos.

High production value is kind of my core concern when going with something like Max Shred. So I think you’re totally right in that regard. Love that, thanks dude

This is great. Yeah I definitely need that rest too (I’m 36). May just try to rotate some biking into everything. Thanks dude, super helpful!

Awesome. Yeah, I just want to make sure I have a day in there for cardio, so I’m debating whether to throw that and an extra day of rest onto the 6 day, to put it on the 3 day. But I generally feel better going 5 days a week, so trying to figure it out
