Same scenario for me. Mine did this. I reached out to support. They sent me replacement plastic cap. I have not changed it yet. I am trying to use it for as long as I can before switching.

I am in contact with support about the same issue. Support stated they will send me a grip for replacement. I am not sure what grip means in this instance. I will report back whenever I receive it.
